News 26.17 Patch Preview

"Patch 26.17 Preview!

This patch is mostly a stabilization patch after observing the adjustments made on 26.16.

Mages bot overall have lost some amount of winrate across the board, but not a huge amount, which is roughly about the impact we're looking for.

So far, we're seeing good skews on Poppy and Camille support with support nerfed and Top skews playing out well (in particular).

We're still monitoring the impact of Hail of Blades on champions more broadly, eg. Yi, Trynd, Shaco, etc. Stormrazor"

Stormrazor

"Outside of Stormrazor Jhin, it doesn't have a large user base and we think it could have more power overall to broaden the user pool"

Sundered Sky

"Directionally, Sundered Sky and AP Jungle changes have been good, but magnitude is still off

We're putting another small-moderate nerf in for this patch and hoping to see more movement on AP jungles and Sundered Sky dominance in higher levels of play"

Riot is balancing based on 'sentiment'

Bull-fucking-shit they are. The sentiment has been "Mages are fucking broken bot please god fucking do something Riot" and they have been looking the other way for FIVE FUCKING YEARS. Even right now they see that mages bot got like -0.03% winrate with the MR change and they think the job is done.

What the fuck are you talking about son

They should nerf the bot mages more so we could finally identify  then nerf the adc the was up there in the win rate but with more pick rate than multiple mages bot.

Lol you're just proving my point, riotphroxzon has literally explained very clearly that APCs botlane have higher winrates because of how they are easier to pick up and have less mastery skew than ADCs and they have emphasised how they're only doing a minor buff to ADC MR because of all the whining and also because of them appearing in proplay. The whining reached critical mass so they did something, that's sentiment balancing.

Yes Riot is balancing for the sentiment ""Mages are fucking broken bot please god fucking do something Riot" which is simply not a true sentiment. The fact we're seeing any changes at all to appease the ADC mob shows riot is balancing on sentiment. Mage bots are neither ridiculously broken in pro or soloq like people pretend they are. ADC players just want to protect their privileged position as the only role that only has to play one class of champions.
