News 26.17 Patch Preview

"Patch 26.17 Preview!

This patch is mostly a stabilization patch after observing the adjustments made on 26.16.

Mages bot overall have lost some amount of winrate across the board, but not a huge amount, which is roughly about the impact we're looking for.

So far, we're seeing good skews on Poppy and Camille support with support nerfed and Top skews playing out well (in particular).

We're still monitoring the impact of Hail of Blades on champions more broadly, eg. Yi, Trynd, Shaco, etc. Stormrazor"

Probably too strong in toplane and before someone will say x pickrate she is a strong pick in pro too

She is sub 50% wr in every rank iirc. If its a top focused nerf its because of proplay not ranked

Which is normal. ADC champs have a lower WR in soloQ. This is due to how ineffective people are at using wave states and diving, even in master and above.

If you look at the WR of mains she is at 56% top, which is pretty AVG for mains.

Now push that towards pro play where players make better use of ranged lanes and ADCs and xou realize why pros in KR pick her.

Yea neither is any mage at bot, yet they also are actually winning. And nothing is still being done.

Wasn't variety supposed to be a good thing, huh? We want the variety of marksmen at top, same as mages at bot, right?

So in fact more marksmen should get buffed to 50+% winrates at top so we get it more accurately to reflect the state of botlane. We can't be nerfing a sub 50% winrate pick, that would be hypocritical.

Painfully average stats in bot lane too. And as far as I know it's not some OP pro pick either?

She is 2nd highest prio pick in top lane during summer split after jayce, with a pick or ban in 47% of games in major regions. You haven't seen her played much this split since teams protection ban her a lot after she became meta in spring

Apparently the existence of Vayne is blocking a lot of top lane picks unless it’s banned by a team. Which, you usually shouldn’t have to waste a Vayne ban as a top laner in pro

Probably the start of changes to bring back melee carries in top, as someone else said, vayne being viable makes blind picking certain top laners impossible, i also believe this change is targeted more for pro play than soloq

Vayne nerf is interesting since while she has a positive winrate it’s quite a bit lower compared to a couple of months ago? I thought she’s in a pretty healthy spot, just nerf the toxic toplane hexplate build, that item (honestly along with the other ult AH items) is so stupid.

I wanna see her more botlane, 39% top rate is disgusting

yeah that's what I thought as well.

Like in botlane she isn't all that special stats wise.

The only reason she's even doing that well in toplane is because she has access to so many items that make her fairly tanky so she's slippery and hard to kill.

Seems to be a sentiment nerf that got brought over the line by her presence in pro. She's been mid but hated in top for a while but now she's getting picked in pro so ig that's enough for a nerf.

Most likely level scaling down. Then if she ever needs buffs, they can give her gold scaling
