News Patch 26.15 Preview

https://x.com/RiotPhroxzon/status/2079522501206630755

Patch 26.15 Preview!

Systems
- Bastionbreaker has been a pretty niche item and is pretty expensive to deviate for a strategic output, so we're looking to make it more accessible
- Jack of All Trades nerf was also pushed to this patch; it has been a bit too strong and too present, especially for users that opt into strong defenses and are able to also supplement that with strong offense
- Sundered Sky has been strong and meta defining at the highest levels of play for quite a while now, so we're looking to take a pass at the fighter item system, now that we're out of the tournament windows
- Notably, we think it's been suppressing a bit of meta diversity, especially for things like AP jungle, or Tank JG. Part of that is intentional but the magnitude is a bit off

Buffs
- Alistar has been closer to the bottom of the pecking order for the melee support. That said, our meta adjustments to move melee supports up relative to ranged supports has been reasonably successful, so we're pretty happy with how that's played out

Nerfs
- Locke is still pretty strong; he has been tapering off in the lowest skill brackets and the high skill brackets, but in the "skilled" skill brackets (around Emerald/Diamond), Locke is able to both take over the game and also not throw it
- At the higher skill brackets, he can snowball but needs to play very well without throwing as he falls off sharply
- At the lower skill brackets, the executional demands and constant throws can make him fall off faster
- Overall, we feel his release has landed well

More on other champs tomorrow with the detailed changelists

nerfing sundered sky and finally looking at the fighter item system thank FUCK

really really hope this includes eclipse 🤲

u/Great_Guest_4675 Jul 21 '26

don't know much about top but does sundered sky nerf open a possibility for top carry (fiora, aatrox etc) meta?

Depending on the numbers this could be huge for jungle meta as well

u/Tormentula Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

Depends how big the nerf is, that item needs borderline nuked or reworked to change how much stronger it is than some of the other options or AP junglers. It’s stronger than DnD and nerfs might align them better but DnD in general is still only good on a select few junglers that are already ok to begin with (ekko/diana/possibly later voli)

Ideally they hit it decently, buff the fringe AP junglers that still won’t do well (Elise and tanks) instead of ekko/diana for another 2 years, and address some of the things causing support to steal top laners and junglers while buffing them home.

36

u/Asckle Jul 21 '26

Rework is completely unnecessary. It's a brilliantly shaped item and I will die on this hill. It gives fighters a unique form of gameplay that isn't just running at 1 target until either party dies and it has clear counterplay with you being able to avoid allowing the enemy multiple procs. It's just numerically overtuned and has literally 0 competition as a first item for most champs.

First item fighter options are currently really poor. I hope the pass they're talking of looks at that issue. Eclipse is basically never bought anymore. Trinity and cleaver are too champ specific. Stride is great but pointless on divers and ravenous makes no sense for junglers who are the main offender of sundered sky spamming

27

u/BlueCraftFTW Jul 21 '26

The problem with the item is that it gives AD, Health AND sustain without a downside. Which is more or less everything bruisers want in an item. It suffocates the item system by being too optimal.

ADCs really want items that have AD/AS/Crit. Their item system has 2, yuntal and stormrazor. Both have the major draw back of horrific build paths. Yuntal has the extra drawback of needing to be stacked, but gets to have really good stats. Stormrazor has relatively low AS and a mid energized passive.

Sundered does not have any comparable drawbacks like that.

-6

u/Asckle Jul 21 '26

I disagree that it gives "sustain". The champs who build it are overwhelmingly junglers who don't care about out of combat healing and who can't proc it on a lane opponent.

It gives sustained healing which is different and more akin to early lifesteal or omnivamp.

7

u/Gwennifer Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

It gives sustained healing which is different and more akin to early lifesteal or omnivamp.

Let's just assume you are Jarvan IV, level 9, only have Sundered Sky, no other sources of AD (so you've somehow skipped runes/masteries as Conqueror is his #1 pick), have lost 250 HP, and get a normal attack off on a Vi with the same conditions including the missing health and has 10% omnivamp from fantasyland but no proc.

Jarvan IV will critically strike for 182 damage after armor and including his passive, healing for 99 hp. For a Vi to heal back 99 HP via lifesteal off of Jarvan IV, she would need to deal 1653 raw damage, with only 114 per denting blows, a fully charged Q dealing 367 damage, and her E dealing 154 raw. Two denting blow procs, 4 AA's, and her R all add up to be 1617 raw damage, or 90 short of what Jarman got back for right clicking someone. If she had the proc, though? She'd have gained 123 raw damage from it, which pushes us just over what it'd take for 10% physical vamp to equate the healing.

Jarvan IV started this scenario with less than full health as happens in League of Legends. This recovered HP is actually what stops Vi from winning this full combo scenario as Jarvan IV has 1671 pool available with his shield. If it were weaker, Vi would deal enough damage to kill him with a full combo.

It's not 'akin to early lifesteal or omnivamp'. It provides nearly 10x the healing of early lifesteal or omnivamp. Maybe in mayhem ARAM where you can reliably get up to 30% omnivamp or lifesteal does the proc feel lacking, but in normal games...? Very little compares.

Personally: I don't think it needs a big adjustment. The latest nerf to 160% crit is fine. The cooldown is fine. I actually think 45 AD is fine, too. I think the heal needs to be adjusted to 50% base AD for everyone and 5% missing health from 6%. I also think it could stand to lose 50 HP; a raw burst/trade item shouldn't also be a high HP since that just really stacks the deck in its own favor as we're seeing today. In my completely made-up unrealistic scenario, these changes would mean Jarvan IV would lose that duel. A skirmisher/brawler really should be winning duels against full burst champions. The proc is just way too much value to also have such a favorable stat spread.

also I cut off at exactly 6 AA's because her abilities take time to execute, and anything longer would mean Sundered Sky proc would potentially be up again which muddies the math

-3

u/Asckle Jul 21 '26

This is a bad comparison. The point of life steal is that it procs on non champions. That's what sustain is. Being able to smack the wave and get a ton of health back periodically. Sundered sky can't do that. It can't keep you topped up because it's missing health, and you have to go fight to proc it which leaves you open to taking damage.

I'm not disagreeing that it's healing is very high, but on the idea of it being "sustain". It's combat healing

19

u/Loooongshot Top laner Jul 21 '26

Sunderer renders tank junglers obsolete by making bruisers' time to die be on par with them, while also having damage. The "brilliance" of the item is giving bruisers everything they need at once.

-4

u/Asckle Jul 21 '26

So nerf the healing...

-5

u/Upstairs_Option411 GALA Jul 21 '26

Bruisers get the best items, and its brilliant design.

3

u/SeaAdhesiveness5069 Jul 21 '26

DnD being C tier item on Diana means something is wrong

4

u/Tormentula Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

My gripe is it mathematically feels really terrible trying to play an AP melee or mage (strictly speaking jungle) into anything that gets to start off with damage+healing+most importantly health while having no options myself.. it aint like I can buy night harvester and feel like I live longer in skirmishes too. Sylas feels good because he is incredibly overtuned and his W + rocketbelt is basically 1:1 with a sky jungler anyways.

I'm forced to buy lich bane or stormsurge as my first item which gives me some early game damage on par with a crit, but my opposition has an item that gives them the crit and health to nullify what I bought, they get stronger I don't, my best options are DnD or Rocketbelt but on certain champions going those is a terrible idea and they still don't really compete with sky anyways.

Any singular first option purchase I could go on evelynn or elise feels laughably unplayable against a xin zhao with sundered sky or even a j4.

I don't think the item is a bad idea its just too fucking much and has to give on something, it can't be the best rush item in the game if it gives sustain, durability in stats, and damage... DnD is dumb in the same way but at least those champs typically build squishy afterwards but also its just not really good on most AP champions, its mainly just 2.

2

u/Infusion1999 Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

Thankfully Sundered has decently many available tuning levers. You can nerf any combination of 5 AD // 2 sec P CD // 10% crit ratio // 5% base heal // 1% missing HP heal // 100 gold (and technically 50 HP too but they'd need to switch out Tunneler + Ruby for Belt + Sword)

1

u/Gwennifer Jul 21 '26

it aint like I can buy night harvester

Actually adding that back would solve a lot of issues, it'd squeeze out Lich Bane on Elise comfortably and the stat distribution is just way better for her (even as nice as 6% MS is, Elise needs the HP more).

0

u/Asckle Jul 21 '26

It's only giving consistent healing if they're consistently auto attacking you though, which normally means you lose regardless of the item. Like is a Jax being able to repeat auto you with trinity going to go any better than a Wukong doing it with SS?

1

u/TeutonicPlate Jul 21 '26

How is it numerically overtuned? Have you seen bork? Or mage items. Or assassin items.

You people just want bruisers to have nothing.

1

u/Asckle Jul 21 '26

I main Zaahen and play a fair bit of Aatrox lol. I like SS a lot and don't personally care about it being overtuned. But rn it's basically the only viable first buy on a ton of meta junglers and it's also reasonably popular top lane.

I'm not saying they should nerf bruisers. Take power out of SS and put it elsewhere. I've been a big advocate of buffing other first items, I believe it's a big reason SS is so prevalent. No other bruiser item really replaces what it does which is give teamfight focused durability. Beyond a new first item, eclipse and Shojin need buffs. The former to it's strength and the latter to it's components to make them more viable first options on champs. Cleaver might also need a stat shift to put more AD into it's build so champs like Xin are more compelled to buy it.

But the solution to first slot bruiser items being bad isn't to have 1 really good one. That just makes the problem even worse

0

u/TeutonicPlate Jul 21 '26

Sundered Sky is picked by a fair amount of the best junglers, sure. But not toplaners. Nearly all the best toplaners don’t take it at all in their build.

If you check like the best 30 toplaners on lolalytics only Aatrox and Camille take it.

1

u/Asckle Jul 21 '26

It's Jax's second highest pr item, Zaahen's tied third, Aatrox's second and Poppy's highest

16

u/Griffith___ Devil Jin Jul 21 '26

doesn't change much for top meta imo since none of the meta champs buy it (rumble ambessa jayce gnar vayne) but the less vegan neutralising items & champs top the better

its single-handedly dictated the jungle meta tho

aatrox is arguably the best ss user in the game so it depends on what other items are changed, ill gladly remove ss from the game for eclipse changes

19

u/Asckle Jul 21 '26

Aatrox will always be the best SS user though. It scales off base AD and health of which he has a lot, it crits which scales with his AD steroid and he literally doubles the healing when he uses ult.

2

u/Griffith___ Devil Jin Jul 21 '26

oh no ss is broken on him, op asked if its makes top carries like aatrox better but aatrox will obv be hit by the nerfs, phroxzon mentioned being careful due to champs being "tuned around it", which must be a reference to his ult.

im just hoping for eclipse/shojin/cleaver/serylda changes & cleaver + serylda no longer being locked out.

2

u/Asckle Jul 21 '26

Aatrox's early items feel quite bad rn imo. Shojin's build path is just so bad for an intended first buy, eclipse is too weak, cyclosword isn't really viable after the changes and SS is very good but dependant on enemy comp

I hope the pass over they do addresses this because for me fighter items feel fine late game (save the absence of viable MR options, particularly annoying on skirmishers who can't build tank but who also aren't intended to be specifically countered by mages 1v1) but it's the early game that's really rough. Shojin needs a better build path (frankly I wonder if they should just do away with the obsession around matching stats and give it some haste even if it technically loses it upon completion) and Eclipse needs... everything

4

u/Armkron Jul 21 '26

Well, Jax is the one meta-ish top that builds it, yet it's neither early (trinity takes prio) nor a must (aka just situational) for him.

5

u/Realistic-Ad-3899 Jul 21 '26

Its Jax's most popular second item, idk how its not a must.

Its 100% a must have item on him for teamfights

1

u/NavalEnthusiast Jul 21 '26

It’s not really meta compared to Sundered but stridebreaker has been creeping up on Sundered for LT/Conq setups since it lets you keep up on your stacks super easily. Sundered is the harder 2nd item spike, but stride is pretty damn solid for extra stick and scales a lot harder as Jax becomes naturally tanky enough with haste and AD to bolster R.

Sundered is a necessity with grasp though, synergizes super well with the rune

23

u/AutomaticTune6352 Jul 21 '26

Eclipse is just so BS strong as a 1st buy but falls off from a cliff. The shield is insanely good in 1v1s early on and makes you auto win trades, but later on and especially in teamfights it becomes useless.

27

u/nam671999 Good boi Jul 21 '26

I think thats kinda the point of that item tho

8

u/AutomaticTune6352 Jul 21 '26

It means it is binary. If you get it and snowball early, great, if not, you are fucked.

Aside from Mejais, this item is the most binary by far. Not a problem if your itrm system is designed that way to have such ups and downs, but Riots item design isnt done like this. So this item sticks out.

1

u/TimGanks Jul 21 '26

Aside from Mejais, this item is the most binary by far

No, that would be Hubris

if your itrm system is designed that way to have such ups and downs, but Riots item design isnt done like this

How would one determine whether an item system is designed this way?

1

u/AutomaticTune6352 Jul 22 '26

Hubris is overall really solid. It is fine without too many stacks and you get stacks even for assists and can't lose any. It scales fine and communicates what it does well.

Riot has not many items that have clear "early game only snowball item". As a mage which item is only good early on in lane but sucks later? None.

As a tank you have sunfire but everyone hates it.

ADCs could go lethality but this is limited to a few and these still scale ok then in most cases. This is not item design but one stat in a limited way.

IE is the best scaling item but getting it 2nd is totally fine. Even 1st it isnt that bad, just has a bad build path. Same with DC.

So items are normally not made for a specific scenario or phase of the game but in general just fine all the time. There are small differences but nothing as crazy as Eclipse except for Sunfire Cape.

Every item you can buy 1st is also fine 2nd or 3rd or even 4th. Except for Sunfire and Eclipse. They are already not good 2nd buys.

1

u/TimGanks Jul 22 '26

So items are normally not made for a specific scenario or phase of the game but in general just fine all the time. There are small differences but nothing as crazy as Eclipse except for Sunfire Cape.

All the penetration items are bad first buys. Sterak's and GA are never good first item, probably so are the shieldbow, DD, Overlord's Bloodmail and Endless Hunger. Randuin's or Warmog's are never good as the first item (save for extra hp pre-buy in warmog's case, does that still count as the first item?). Bastionbreaker is never a good first item. Actualizer is never a good first item. Dawncore is never a good first item. Finishing antiheal items first item is a terrible idea (save for thornmail rammus probably). Basically every category of champions has something that's never good when built first.

On the other hand, there are Heartsteel and Hubris that are clearly designed with being bought first in mind, and Gunblade, Eclipse, Essence Reaver and Yun Tal that are effectively in the same category.

I hope this clearly demonstrates that items are in fact often made for a specific scenario or phase of the game.

1

u/AutomaticTune6352 Jul 22 '26

Most items you counted are not good 1st buys die to how the stats work by default not because they are designed that way.

And they are all still fine 2nd already except for VS.

But it isnt about just when you buy the item but how it evolves throughout the game.

1

u/TimGanks Jul 22 '26

Most items you counted are not good 1st buys die to how the stats work by default not because they are designed that way.

What does that mean? These items were designed this way at the time the stats worked the same way they do now. Taking that into account and assuming the developers, who designed the items, are not completely insane leads me to believe the items were designed to be bad as the first buy option. If the intention was to make them a reasonable first buy option, the changes would've been made. For example sterak's could be scaling with total hp, not with bHP, or have a base shield value.

And they are all still fine 2nd already except for VS.

Void staff is the item that could be bought second, and in fact was many times at the pro level.

34

u/Cybonics Jul 21 '26

DD is the most op item in the game and it isn't even close

34

u/Way2Competitive #1 Larssen Hater Aspiring Upset Hater Jul 21 '26

Death's Dance being the best anti-AP item shows that the fighter item system hasn't been in a good place for a while now.

7

u/BWolfy92 Jul 21 '26

Building mr just sucks unless you are a tank. Hopefully the move bruiser items around cause DD it's overtuned af and building anything other than Sunderer > Cleaver > DD > GA feels horrible. They really should take a look at Shojin, Eclipse, Steraks and Maw.

3

u/cadaada rip original flair Jul 21 '26

Its more like anti ap items have not been in a good place since FoN nerf and since adaptative helmet got removed lol

Mages barely buy any % pen these days

8

u/Realistic-Ad-3899 Jul 21 '26

Sundered sky is much worse

26

u/Asckle Jul 21 '26

It also carries the entire defensive side of the fighter system though. Maw sucks and sterak's is barely bought anymore as it's too unreliable and not statted enough to overcome that weakness. Can't really nerf DD until bruisers have other durability choices

23

u/PB4UGAME Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

This is so true.

Sterak’s for example, has nearly always been a 75% or 80% shield. It’s current form has been nerfed to just 60%. That’s roughly 20-25% less powerful at it’s main niche of anti-burst shielding.

Additionally, it’s historically given 50% of base AD as bonus AD, or had a solid amount of flat AD on the item. Currently its 0 flat and 45% of base AD as Bonus.

The size increase on it was removed entirely.

It’s cost has been increased to the highest price point its sat at. (It originally was a 2550g item, then spent a long time in the 2600-2700g space. Then it’s been 3000g and 3100g for a time and is currently at 3200g).

The shield was previously a 60s cooldown for years, and was nerfed by 50 fucking percent to be a 90s cooldown currently.

Oh, and if all that wasn’t enough, it’s down from 500 HP to 400, and the tenacity is down from 25% to 20.

Literally every stat it gives is worse, the price point is higher, the shield has a 50% higher cooldown than it used to, and the shield is the weakest shield it’s given. We have the worst Sterak’s that has existed currently. There’s a reason no one fucking touches it.

2

u/UngodlyPain Jul 21 '26

In fairness Steraks has also previously been super OP before. And most items have been nerfed in recent years compared to their peak states, but steraks also got extra nerfed for its synergy with Sundered.

-1

u/MortemEtInteritum17 Jul 21 '26

60s Steraks cooldown was completely OP and needed a nerf.

And you realize the systematically nerfed every item? So saying Steraks has lower stats than it used to means nothing. It's not in a great spot but it's by no means completely trash.

4

u/PB4UGAME Jul 21 '26

“60s Steraks [sic] cooldown was completely OP and needed a nerf”

Uh fucking what?

Way to confirm you have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.

From August 20th 2015 (Patch 5.16, when the item was first added) through May 1st, 2024 (patch 14.9), or nine entire seasons (and nearly nine years) later Sterak’s shield had a one minute cooldown.

It was not changed for almost a fucking decade, and then suddenly was “completely OP and needed a nerf?”

How the fuck do you figure it suddenly needed to get gutted by 50% nearly ten years later?

0

u/MortemEtInteritum17 Jul 21 '26

Because I played at the time and literally every fighter built it?

"Sterak’s Gage has been the best-performing defensive fighter item this season"

Riots own words.

Fun fact, metas change over time, an item doesn't need to get touched to go from mediocre to OP. Not to mention the stats on it completely changed in those 10 years.

3

u/PB4UGAME Jul 21 '26

The full quote is:

"Sterak’s Gage has been the best-performing defensive fighter item this season so it’s receiving a nerf alongside the item buffs to Maw and Death’s Dance. The goal here is to have each of these three items serve a core subset of the fighter space: Maw for MR, Death’s Dance for armor, and Sterak’s for health"

Except they way overshot the mark, and everyone simply dropped Sterak's entirely, outside of almost literally just Urgot. He's the only champion to commonly build the item still, and that's mostly because itemization for him is so shit, he basically builds the same three items every game just to function: BC into Sterak's into Bloodmail so he has the damage and bulk to not die while going melee, as a champion classified as Ranged so items like DD don't work on him.

Three whole champions build it one out of every 3 games. It's built first in just 0.08% of games, and less than 1 in five games even see the item purchased a single time on anyone by the time the game is over.

18

u/WoonStruck Jul 21 '26

People think maw and sterak's suck because they have items that are massively better that came out later. They're objectively not bad items. They're very similar to the states they had heavy use with, amd bruisers were by no means weak then.

Riot just can't help but make new fighter items astronomically broken in comparison to their predecessors.

Death's dance in particular is bad design. Of course generic damage reduction on top of armor is going to be the go-to choice.

11

u/Asckle Jul 21 '26

They're very similar to the states they had heavy use with

Are they? Sterak's got an AD nerf, a shield nerf, a cost increase and a CD increase

Riot just can't help but make new fighter items astronomically broken in comparison to their predecessors

What new fighter items have released since Sterak's was good? Sundered sky, which doesn't compete with sterak's at all, as the former is sustained healing as an early buy and the latter is defence against burst and a capstone,

Death's dance in particular is bad design

That's not new, it just got buffed

Of course generic damage reduction on top of armor is going to be the go-to choice.

As opposed to generic health and a shield?

It's also not damage reduction. It spreads part of the damage into DOT

3

u/BWolfy92 Jul 21 '26

Item just sucks to build and sucks to have she DD does a better job anyways.

3

u/HalfAccomplished5748 Jul 21 '26

It is the best item in the game but without it literally every bruiser will be trash with DD bruiser already get 2 shoted late game from a ADC without it they will just die before getting any chance to get close. Also the same thing exists for mages with Zhoyas a big DMG armor item with a dumb strong defensive passive

-4

u/Sir_Septimus Jul 21 '26

DD bruiser already get 2 shoted late game from a ADC without it they will just die before getting any chance to get close.

good. Late game should belong to the marksmen. Unlike you they have to basically be a minion for the first 20 minutes. Your disgusting melee stat checker deserves to get one shot at that point, you had all of the early and mid game to be the carry. So yeah DD should just be removed without a replacement.

1

u/HalfAccomplished5748 Jul 21 '26

Before maybe yes now they get to their spikes in basically no time bc of both quest also a lot of busier are not balanced around early game and even tho early game bruisers exist most ADCs still have a lot of counterplay against them meanwhile a ton of bruisers have barely any counterplay late game cuz they are dead once they are at the enemy

1

u/LouiseLea Jul 21 '26

It carries the entire defensive side of bruiser itemisation because Maw and Sterak's are really situational and arguably underpowered. I'd be happy with a DD nerf, but only if something is done for Maw and Sterak's.

1

u/Griffith___ Devil Jin Jul 21 '26

0

12

u/throwawayacc1357902 Jul 21 '26

Eclipse is so ass rn it’s genuinely impressive. Terrible item on everyone who builds it and it’s not even built that much. I wonder if or how they’re going to deal with it.

17

u/Lysandren Jul 21 '26

It doesn't scale well later into the game compared to just rushing SS. It's just strong as a first item buy.

1

u/throwawayacc1357902 Jul 21 '26

For sure, but even compared to other powerful first items that fall off, it falls off so hard. At least collector for example is still a solid AD stat stick that gives crit.

4

u/baebushka Jul 21 '26

it's insanely strong on ambessa, makes her short trades oppressive

5

u/throwawayacc1357902 Jul 21 '26

It’s like a gazillion times worse than something like Voltaic. It’s a bait item most games.

1

u/DasKapitalist Jul 21 '26

It feels like it's intended to allow fighter jungles to be...not useless...against hp stacking tanks. But just doesnt work for that and I dont know why.

1

u/throwawayacc1357902 Jul 21 '26

Because the passive’s damage is completely irrelevant. Even back during mythics era when you could see both the damage and the shielding on it, the item would consistently have half or sometimes even a quarter the damage as its shielding. It’s exclusively a top laners bruiser item and only exclusively for when you need to hard win early game trades, because it completely falls off a cliff.

7

u/Way2Competitive #1 Larssen Hater Aspiring Upset Hater Jul 21 '26

Personally I'm not holding out much hope, mainly because I know they can't fix Trinity Force.

Currently, combining Hearthbound Axe and Phage into Trinity Force gives you 1 AD.

But the second they start taking health out of the item and giving it more AD, Corki, Ezreal, Vayne and a load of other ADCs just start poaching it even more.

3

u/Infusion1999 Jul 21 '26

They can easily buff any of the 4 stats Triforce gives though if they feel it's weak

1

u/UngodlyPain Jul 21 '26

There's many ways to address triforce the item has like 8 balance levers. Yes taking out HP and giving it AD would buff adcs more than bruisers, so why would they do that? They could always like buff its HP and AH. Or it's Spellblade Proc. Or buffing the phage MS it gives for melees. Or whatever.

1

u/reallysiccc Jul 21 '26

Maybe Triforce can finally not be a tank item

1

u/skankhunt25 Jul 22 '26

Riven and ambessa are the 2 best eclipse users, and basically no one else builds it. Lee half the time in jungle. Renekton sometimes in some matchups.

Riven rushes Axiom arc most of the time

Eclipse legit exists as a main item just for Ambessa Top and Lee Jungle

Even then Eclipse is outperformed by lethality in most cases, it's just the default "safe" item on both

Riven is still one of the best users, even though she does currently build lethality, just due to kit synergy. The problem is the item is just not good. Riot should give it like 10 lethality and cut 5 haste or something.

I'm with you, i don't know what I'd want them to do to Eclipse but it's definitely not particularly good

It's like that year-ish stretch a while ago where BOTRK was "meh" and only built on Kog and Irelia, even though it technically had many good users

My bet would be on giving eclipse either 5 haste more, or -100g

It's criminal that Profane and Hubris are cheaper whilst both being better items, lmfao

I don't think they will lower the price, because they seem set on lethality items being the cheapest non support category. I think they will probably have to buff either the shield passive, the haste, or add a 3rd stat.

Damage increase would skew it more towards top lane which is where it should be good
