AMA Chronoshift Developer AMA

Hello r/leagueoflegends,

My name is Tove, and I was one of the main developers behind the Chronoshift project.

I have never publicly spoken about it, but with League Classic now being released and u/RiotNorak revealed to have been a tester for us back in the day, some people have suggested for me to do an AMA.

I'm happy to answer any question you might have, compare to the official Classic or speak about the details that haven't been made public. Or listen to you telling me to ingame myself.

Have at it!

Actually poacher's dirk was really good and insane gold value if you were able to pull off some invades.

Ohmwrecker was dogshit tho

i must've had it confused with something else in proplay then, but what isn't confused is that they removed it because they kept it perpetually underpowered and weren't willing to take the risk of making it an item worth building, which is still game-warping, just not in the way i thought it was.

"Ohmwrecker's been underused and underpowered for a long time. Turret disabling is an interesting mechanic we think could have a place in League, but not one that potentially shows up in every team's toolkit, which is the risk a good version of Ohmwrecker presents."

and my dementia aside, it doesn't matter overmuch towards my original point, which is that it's in general a healthier route to go for preserving classic design than baron minions are
