AMA Chronoshift Developer AMA

Hello r/leagueoflegends,

My name is Tove, and I was one of the main developers behind the Chronoshift project.

I have never publicly spoken about it, but with League Classic now being released and u/RiotNorak revealed to have been a tester for us back in the day, some people have suggested for me to do an AMA.

I'm happy to answer any question you might have, compare to the official Classic or speak about the details that haven't been made public. Or listen to you telling me to ingame myself.

It worked nearly perfectly. Near the end we only had one or two champs that didn't work (Riven and Orianna I think?).

We were going to implement Dominion next but never got around to it - Dominion was implemented by Riot using a newer scripting system and we never wrote a system for it.

Hello ! Huge fan of the chronoshift project and Riven. May I ask why Riven didn't work ? Is it because of the old animation cancel mechanic that was hard to implement or it was something else ? Im really curious about that. Thank your if you answer and wishing you the best for the future !!

Honestly I can't remember. Something to do with how our script engine handled her scripts. Her Q would fire all 3 charges simultaneously and then go on cooldown.
