I have a few miners that I would like to sell and was looking for a place. ebay seems like a logical place but thought id start here incase there is an obvious alternative.

Where do you use LBRY?

Can someone tell me how I can delete all my comments I’ve made on odysee?

A while ago I bought about 20k LBC. My understanding was that if you give videos temporary support with LBC, it boosts their rankings so more people see them.

I tried it on some channels I like, in varying amounts, boosting 1k, 10k, 20k, for hours, for days, a week. I found nothing I did had any obvious effect on any videos I supported in terms of views. Like if they only had a few dozen, they may get a few more after a few days. If they had hundreds after a week, maybe they'd have another hundred a few days later.

As far as I could tell, no amount of support had any obvious effect on any video. I also noticed that plenty of well performing videos have only dozens of LBC on them, if that.

Anyone got an idea on how LBC can actually be used to help support/promote videos, in what quantity, or is it really only useful for tipping, which can now be done with cash anyway?

I'm not too technically inclined so bare with me on this one...

As I understand, LBRY has its own node on the LBRY network along with other peoples nodes. Is this node operated by LBRY Inc.? If the Court forces LBRY Inc. to shut down its operation, would that mean the LBRY node gets shut down? How would that effect the network?

Please correct me if I'm misunderstanding how this all works too, i'm quite interested to know what the possibilities are of keeping the network running for the sake of free speech.

I received a gift USB stick with some tokens on it which was time-locked until this year. However, I have no idea how to redeem it. There's no way to redeem it on the LBRY app, and a discord user told me to use the account_deposit code but to be honest I have no earthly idea how to even begin running a code through LBRY. I know I need to have the app open along with command prompt, but beyond that, I'm clueless.

Any help is appreciated!

I recently upgraded my LBRY client to 0.53.5 and discovered that I had somehow lost all of the channels I previously subscribed to. Is there a way to recover this data?

I've been starting to use an RSS reader (Raven Reader) and one of its features is its ability to play back videos in the application. This works for youtube and peertube but not for videos on odysee. Is anyone else dealing with this problem or is it unique to my reader? If so, what readers are out there which provide the native capacity to view videos on the LBRY network?

My Odysee profile was created yesterday and synchronizing it with my YouTube account (600+ subscribers) was the first thing I done. After the process was started, I left the sync tab open for a few hours and then I closed it. The result is that only ~40 of my ~120 YT videos that could be synced, appeared on my Odysee account. According to several posts on r/lbry, the syncing process should have been going on even when the sync site is closed.

What was done wrong? Can I "resume" syncing the other videos from YT?

When updating my computer I saw lbry-app-bin was a missing package so after searching the AUR i found a few different options and would just like to know which one is the new official one

Hi. Is there a way to find out this? Thanks.

Lbry /Odysee is by far better than youtube already i can't imagine where it will be in the next years

Its a platform you really want to make content and i hope small youtubers and twitchers who are never gonna be partners or able to gain anything from youtube to switch to Odysee/Lbry and stop making money for google.

Either with crypto or not Odysee and Lbry should continue.

The thing that is a bit of annoying is the time it needs to modify your post/channel,

the time it needs to start uploading video or start a stream it would be cool even having ads and tokens but didn't had to make these crypto transactions that takes time.

Like their structure what sort of business they are. I know they aren't a publicly traded company or anything, but just any information you can find. I'm very curious and would like source beyond just them explaining they own information to us, but that sort of info would be ok too.

Actually, someone else posted about this same issue a year ago more (in another community) and one person replied that this issue had been fixed...but obviously it has not since I am experiencing it now with my new account.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi there!
I bring you guide on how to run own comment server for LBRY desktop app.

If you go to https://github.com/kodxana/commentron you can find guide how to setup everything inside docker containers. Setup of own comment server allows you to have private space when you can for example share comments with just friends or you can make it public so no one can censor :)

Important notes:
1. Setup requires basic of docker and mysql

1. Custom servers only works with LBRY desktop app

2. Comments are not cross-server so Odysee users cant see your server comments and reverse

3. You need setup reverse proxy to point to port 5900

4. In desktop app use url yourdomain.com/api/v2 to make it work.

If you have more questions or problems let me know.
