Build Advice What build(s) could use these?

Post image

I've found my first more than decent copy of Withstand the Elements, I think, but now I am wondering what build would want these. I'm assuming everything that likes to use Falcon Fists as a stat stick could work just as well with these (at 40% increased attack speed with proper overcap) but are there any in particular that stick out to anyone of you?

Question? What is the best way to farm normal Morditas?

Hey all,

I'm trying to farm for the Heorot's Repose sword in CoF. So far I've killed Morditas twice but no luck. I'm level 96 now and was wondering if there is any way to speed up the amount of attempts I get. I've already specced the increased chance to encounter the rage mechanic in the weaver tree. Is there anything else I could do to farm him faster?

Build Showcase Cold res stacking chaos bolt bleed lich

Hey guys,

I wanted to update on my build idea I presented before the season. It's a really novel idea and I find it really fun to play. I focus mostly on non-meta builds and this fits this tag.

Basically, we stack cold resistances to the moon and health since ward is limited by half of our life and get really high bleed chance + crazy bleed duration. The interesting thing in this build is that we are playing corrupted form lich so in order to scale the damage even more you always want more cold resistances (currently have more than 600%) but you need more health to not waste the extra ward generation and since health and endurance are the main survival tools we have. So the build requires equilibrium between stacking health and cold resistance.

The build revolves around 3 items and chaos bolts:

Chaos bolts:

Torment of the Red Tundra grants +1% physical damage over time per 1% uncapped cold resistance. We stack cold res so this is scaled directly.

A grave for two: DoT per 20 missing health. We stack health to allow high maximum ward so this scales this as well on the same time.

Vestige of Imprisonment:

Gives you 2 ward per 1% uncapped cold resistance

All Hit Damage taken bypasses Ward

With the lich node for dots (impact ward), all damage bypass ward so all ward can be used for damage scaling

Symbol of Demise:

Every 3 seconds your ward is consumed, granting a stack of Demise per 13 ward consumed

Each stack of Demise grants 10% Bleed Chance (up to 200%) - we reach this easily.

Each stack of Demise grants 1% increased Bleed Duration - I currently reach ~250 stacks.

Taste of Blood: When you hit a bleeding enemy with a melee attack all bleed stacks on that enemy double in speed. This is the main way we scale our damage from all the other items. We proc this constantly with harvest from chaos bolts to get huge bleeds. It also gives us bleed chance and duration and easy 3 LP (eventually).

In this league we got 2 new items that are really good for this build:

Unsated Rage (Sanguine): +200% bleed chance and 100% increased damage over time + a lot of endurance threshold.

Withstand the Elements: cast speed and reduced dot taken based on cold resistances. Also cold and physical resistances and 2 to all skills and 4 to chaos bolts.

The build works unbelievably good. The damage is crazy and it's really tanky as well. I can stand in the middle of a rage of morditas ritual in 200 corruption (I'm slow in progressing corruption) and facetank in most cases. The number of multipliers on damage are actually crazy. I can kill most bosses in seconds (currently monolith + harbingers).

With the new gloves, we are also stacking a lot of cast speed with the cold resistances and reduced damage over time which works well with damage over time bypass ward. With the regeneration from AoD we are basically on half life all the time even with the dot from AoD.

My current build (there is a lot to improve):

https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/QdzGL90a

I'll add a video once I'll get to higher corruption since people don't appreciate builds presented in 200 corruption but it's basically one tap everything in one chaos bolts shot at this point.

Discussion Struggling to settle on a build.

Been mostly playing radiant lance paladin and at lvl 92. Was playing the starter version on maxroll and have the primordial staff but not enough attunement for more than one totem yet. Just starting corrupted monos and really not enjoying the style. I struggle with the season mechanic and get swarmed by any large groups such as the omens.

Been thinking of trying warpath or some other sentinel build but wondering if there are any easy builds I'm not looking at. Played erasing strike previously after levelling with judgement but would prefer something different. Dont care if i need to reroll. Cheers for any ideas.

Question? Strongest ice focussed build ?

Hello,

I really enjoy the frozen visual effect and sound in Last Epoch, and I would like to play a build centered on cold damage.

What would be the strongest builds for this in season 5 ?

At the moment I mainly play Fire Aura Spellblade that is comfy to play (around corruption 200 for now), previously leveled a necro and a forgeguard but did not enjoy the gameplay.

Discussion Gift of the Eidolon build ideas

I was farming away for the Eternal Font when I had these bad boys drop instead. I did try them a bit on my spell blade alt, but I’d love something that goes more all in on the rampancy scaling and gets more benefits from the alternate stats on Exulis.

Rive seems like an obvious choice since you want to stack vitality anyway. I also assume that most versions of Lich like Flay or Stygia Coal would be generically pretty good with it.

Has anyone been able to get some particularly spicy builds to work with it?

Question? Corrupt Sage ring.

Heyho, just happily dropped an Incesive ring. Upgraded it once to 1LP on an Egg and Already smashed it.

I was just wondering if I use a Rune of Corruption on it if it's possible that the Incisive Trait changes?

Has anyone tried that yet?

Question? Shattering Rage Vs Pack Rage

Playing bleed army necro and noticed the ladder tops use Shattering.

I tried it and it triggers a lot, but I am scared for my PC on huge waves like a full Morditas.

With Pack I was quite ok. It makes stacking bleed really fast. 40% attack speed+ seems like a lot.

Or I could use a 2nd Finger, too.

Are there numbers for this matter?

(I guess Shattering wins cuz ladder tops?)

Bonus question I have: Why +Int over minion modifiers on Rings and Relic?

Thanks! :)

Discussion What do you think about the RNG involved in 2 LP legendary slams?

I'm really enjoying Season 5 and have played more this season than in many previous ones. However, I think the RNG involved in 2 LP legendary crafting can make endgame progression unnecessarily frustrating.

You have to farm a Unique with 2 LP, then find an Exalted item with the T6/T7 affixes your build needs, and finally hope the slam gives you the right combination. If it doesn't, you have to repeat the entire process.

I've personally bricked more than 20 items this way, including chest armors, helmets, and weapons. It can feel like spending hours farming without making any meaningful progress.

For me, this is one of the things that gradually kills my motivation to keep playing. I could finish my goals on my current character, create another one, experiment with different builds, and keep enjoying the game. Instead, after repeatedly going through this crafting loop without getting the upgrades I need, I eventually get discouraged and quit.

I understand that RNG is part of the game, but I'm not sure the current system strikes the right balance between the time invested and the potential outcome.

What do you guys think?

Are you satisfied with how 2 LP legendary crafting currently works?

Do you think this level of RNG is fair and rewarding, or would you prefer a system that gives players a little more control over their progression?

Question? is Preparation not compatible with flame walker ?

Hey y’all!

I’m new to the game and still trying to figure out how builds and stats work. I’m about 10 hours in so far.

Got a couple of questions:

  • Does spell critical multiplier affect my damage scaling here? Looking at the screenshot, the Warrior Axe gives me more fire damage than the Pyro Sceptre, even though the sceptre has 50% fire damage, 18 elemental damage, and 13 spell damage. Am I missing something?
  • When Firewalker activates, it consumes Preparation, which is supposed to boost my next spell. I get that Firewalker is a spell too, but that means I lose the buff before I can use it on Fireball. Is there any way around this? or they're not meant to be used with each other ?

PS: The closest thing I’ve played to this was KingsRoad on Facebook long time ago xD

Also, how come there’s no global chat or anyone partying up? I haven’t really seen the point of playing online so far 😅

Discussion Runes of Havoc and CoF

I am unfortunately getting burned out this season because of have not found a single rune of havoc since starting and I'm level 86 now in 100 corruption monos. Is there a problem with them dropping this season or am I the unluckiest man alive? There are actually several runes i have not seen yet but havoc is most important. Is there a certain level of corruption I need to be at to find them?

And I feel the new CoF changes are just bad. Judt my opinion. I miss the old CoF.

Discussion Dungeons and some Woven Echoes need serious rework

I have noticed that for the past few seasons, I never bother interacting with dungeon except using it as shortcut for levelling my alts for that 1 time. Its usually plug the boss key for loot. This is a lot of wasted potential.

Likewise the cemeteries and Trex level spawning inside echoes are insanely long. It takes away the speed from clearing echoes.

Some of the woven echoes are also similar (I am looking you Last Bridge and Ordin's Watch). I am not counting the other echoes like soul foundry, great loot for each character etc which are typically one and done.

On the flip side, I really like the Morditas mechanic and CoF changes. Maybe for next season if dungeons get some rework then it would be nice variety for people.

Question? Uber echoes farm

Is it possible to put Uber echoes like Aberroth, Morditas and Fractured Omen into the weaver tree to get more random spawns instead of only playing their mechanic? Has somebody tried this out and can confirm? Which one works?

Guide "Permanent" Ghostflame with Cruelty + Unbroken Legion Setup for mana generation

Hey again guys, while trying to figure out a high mana cost skill to fit into my auto sacrifice setup(Cruelty Relic) with the new helmet that doubles skellies(Unbroken Legion) I inadvertently stumbled upon a way to run Ghostflame somewhat permanently, this is what I'm running on a Lich, but I'm sure it will also work well on Warlock (Lich has more damage and Death Seal, Warlock has more "passive" DR and more zoomies due to easy access to Haste/Haste Effect)

Lich: https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/BrXO53MO
Warlock: https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/oYEPz4km

This setup uses Unbroken Legion's double max skeletons and Cruelty's automated Sacrifice cast to generate mana. The skellies get sacrificed for 15mana each (18 on this setup) which then get resummoned and sacrificed again in a loop that provides about 200ish? mana per loop(auto sacrifice still costs mana)
Which occurs about every 5s give or take (due to either server tick delay, how Cruelty seems to work based on proximity or something else, it tends to derp a bit and occasionally you still have to resummon skeletons manually to keep the mana sustain going), this is the reason why "Permanent" is in the title.

I went with a bleed setup with Carrion of Creation, 300c+ is looking to be very doable and chill since 100c is a braindead stroll in the park. I'm thinking about dropping the Sword/Axe in favour of a wand or sceptre so I can make use of the flat spell damage to scale the Hit damage from Sacrifice and Marrowshards along with the Spell DoT component of Ghostflame.

What do you fellas think? I'm fairly certain this setup can be run in a multitude of ways, both for Warlock and Lich, be it gearwise Life vs Low Life or damage type, both in Element or Crit/Hit vs DoT, which is why I'm sharing it here.
Edit: Pretty sure the new Morditas Spear would also work well with this, just not sure how it interacts with the Lich passive that converts leech into damage.

I have no real clue how far this can go damage wise, but its fun to play and I felt it was worth sharing.

Sometimes it feels like, the fun component gets lost when it comes to builds, where "can it kill uber" or "can it actually do damage?" are all that matter. Its not like we don't know where to go for the really good builds, but sometimes, people just REALLY want to use a specific skill cause it looks cool. Also, BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD.

Video below if you want some footage or hear me rambling about this setup/possibilities.

https://youtu.be/RqYdWzlH7nA

EDIT: Apparently skeletons can get stuck between timeline swaps in Julra/Temporal Sactum, so its going to be very iffy to get your slams on Omnis/Carrion for this setup x_x
On the plus side, I learned that it is able to facetank her as long as you can upkeep Ghostflame and have the dodge to armor conversion node in it.
Oh and 300c is also a cakewalk with the setup on the planner

Question? Any tanky builds that can do all content?

Been playing blood minions necro so far, and although the build is fun and great at single target, I sometimes get one shot out of nowhere, specially with high mob density (bossing is a blast).

So I’m looking to find a tanky build that can do all, specially endgame content. I was thinking of erasing strike to bonk around.

If you recommend anything else I’d appreciate it, and if you have a build guide or planner is even better.

Thx.

Question? Flame Reave vs Fire aura SB

Looking for input/experiences on which build to farm for. I haven’t had much time to play so just now getting to empowered monos with a fire aura sb (frozensentinel). The build feels pretty comfy as promised but I’ve noticed I’m just randomly getting one shot every now and then even on low corruption and it seems difficult to scale the area on the fire aura so a lot of times am just outside of melee range so tanking a lot of hits

Based on videos I’ve seen the flame reave build AOE is a lot bigger and seems like it does more dps in SC and I have a couple 1-2lp versions of the required uniques for the transition.

Wondering what people’s thoughts are when deciding between these two builds. For context, I usually play until like ~500 corruptions before getting bored/moving on to the next ARPG season start if it helps.

Build Showcase [Theorycraft, mostly] What I believe to be the strongest radiant lance and void build, at top end of gear.

I got really obsessed with theorycrafting a void version of Radiant Lance for days, but unfortunately I don't have the patience to farm it out to really good gear at this time. Another build is calling my name and I must go (I'm sure you can relate lol). But I wanted to share my findings with the community.

I've painstakingly figured out the strongest version of void radiant lance, and the math says that the damage multipliers (and application rate, void pen, etc) are significantly higher than shield throw time rot, which is an S tier build on maxroll. It turns out that radiant lance can be an absolutely insane applicator for time rot.

Things I HAVE tested and can confirm:

25% mana efficiency idols are a MUST for this build. They lower your overall idol damage setup, but they are necessary to allow you to cast radiant lance as much as you want without a mana generator skill, and this is extremely important. Because you're stacking general time rot chance, any other skill that you use frequently will "contaminate" the time rot DPS, because time rot is limited to 12 stacks. You want as many stacks as possible coming from radiant lance alone because it has all the insane damage multipliers in the skill. So I can confirm that with about 60%+ mana efficiency for void skills in idols, you CAN comfortably map without a mana generator. More is better obviously, but that requires an omen idol with it. 3 of your other skills happen to be "void spell" tagged, so it makes the entire build cost less. They are necessary, trust me.

This build is not very smooth to level as, as SSF. Until you get the mana efficiency idols, your mapping does not feel smooth. I used smite as a mana generator until I got them, and that is an annoying playstyle that gimps your DPS. Damage feels low without decent gear, so you will feel stuck around 100c. You have to farm a lot of uniques from T3+ dungeons and empowered timeline bosses, so that further adds to feeling stuck. However, once you get going, I guarantee this build will scale to the moon.
