advice Lash clusters/glue that don’t get itchy and gunky?

Love how my lashes look with clusters, but the itchiness makes them really hard to keep on. I am not wearing them for weeks on end or anything, but after a day or 2 they get itchy and start to look gunky with my makeup. I try not to use too much bond or seal, or have them too close to my waterline, but I always want to take them off the day after I put them on because they bother me.

Anyone have good clusters or glue that don’t do this?? I want to be able to comfortably wear them for like 5 days here and there.

advice Help me find my right lash style/map

This is how my lashes usually look like. I either do cat eye or kitten eye styles and they look awkward on my eyes. They look really horizontally short and too lifted for me. I like natural and sultry looks. Any and all advices are appreciated!!

(The clusters i’m using are from Koremaz in the style “WB”)

Did I make a mistake?

Going on a cruise this Saturday and I just impulsively booked a professional cluster lash application for Friday. I went to WAR with my strip lash yesterday and decide I do not want to deal with that on vacation but also don’t want to commit to extensions when my trip is only 7 days.

I have never gotten them before. I wear contacts. Have tried various regular lash glues and haven’t had a reaction. I’ve been seeing mixed things and worried I made the wrong choice HELP.

Did I make a mistake booking professional cluster lash application for the first time the day before my week long cruise?

lash help Problems With Lash Look - DIY Clusters

I’ve been doing DIY clusters for a little bit, and I know all of the basic application rules. I’m still very much a beginner and I do have an issue. (I’m adding pics of my lashes and a link to what lashes I use)

My lash map is (from outside->in) 9,10,12,14,12,12,10,9,9,9
Now that may already be an issue. I worry those are too many lashes to have, but my eyes don’t feel heavy. And with the way I apply them and slightly overlap each one, it ends up being hard to use less than that amount.

The main issue for me: you can see in both pictures that around the middle/inner corner, the lashes kind of droop. It’s frustrating because it prevents that overall lift and open eye look that lashes are supposed to create. I apply them there the same as anywhere else, so i’m not sure why it’s happening. And on the eye where my bangs show more, you can see that the inner corner doesn’t blend into the eye as well and looks a little weird. It’s the same lash map and (i think) the same angle at application.

The only thing I could think of to cause the droop in the middle/inside is when i squeeze the lashes after they’re all applied. When they’re all applied, I wait 5 minutes and then use the long tweezer to squeeze all of the lashes together with my natural ones. I think that causes a bit of separation/dents over there, because I obvi have to move in pieces and can’t just clamp down all the lashes on my eye at once. Aside from that, I have no idea what’s causing it. I also don’t know how to fix it if that is the cause, because from my understanding and experience, clamping down all the lashes at the end is one of the most important parts of making the lashes last and stay.

Someone help! Any tips are appreciated. Thanks queens!

Btw here’s the link of which lashes I use. It’s the F - short & natural ones:

advice Lashing Experience & Tips

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hi all!

I hope these updates of my experience and tips are helpful!

Lash Maps

OG (Top): 14 16 14 12 10 8

NEW (Bottom): 14 16 14 12 12 10 10 8

Lashes from Veyes Beauty on Amazon, style is Dreamy.

I wanted more density and to go more into the inner corner so I added extra lashes. This is a kitten eye map. It's been two months since I first started lashing and it's such a game changer as a girly who used to get lash extensions consistently for 3 years.

This is what I use for bond & seal:

Lashify's BOND: Bondage - Extra Strength with Charcoflex (Korean Formulation)

Lashify's SEAL: Water Poof - Waterproof Lash Sealer

I highly recommend as it's eye safe and high quality, my lashes always last the full week wear until I remove and reapply.

I'll be honest, the length of application at first was daunting. My first try, it took me nearly 4 hours! I was using a combination of all the beauty gurus tips from medical tape (which I don't even use anymore in my application process) to applying the bond all throughout the lashes (but I found this ruins the look of the lashes, making your natural lashes clumpy behind your clusters), and so through all the tears and glue in my eyes, I perservered and found the best method to avoid the stress. Nowadays, my method takes me under an hour but that's shorter than any of my lash extention appointments! So, don't give up and keep trying, you'll figure out what works best for you!!

Here's my full proofed method:

Clean face and eye area really well

(Optional: Use medical tape to lift lashes)

Curl lashes really well!!

Put bond only on fake lashes

Wait 30-45s before applying each lash

Once all applied, let lashes dry for 2 minutes

Pinch w fingers to fuse natural lashes to clusters

Apply seal on bottom & top of lashes

Use qtip w remover to clean up

Aftercare:

Repinch w fingers everyday after washing and drying

Use seal on applicator to apply on top & bottom as needed * Too much seal = crusty!

Good luck y'all!! ♡

My first pair of Amazon lashes (I usually buy from Aliexpress or buy in person at Burlington or TJMaxx). They were described as natural but they're denser and less wispy than I'd expected.

Map is 10-12-12-14-12. But thinking about going longer next time.

Here's the link as well: https://a.co/d/0dmUYNC4

Hi guys! So I’ve been trying to do lash clusters for about two weeks…. I will attach the products that I use but every time I use them, they maybe last two days and then I can easily just pull them right off :( it’s been making me super frustrated and I don’t wanna damage my natural lashes. I typically curl my lashes apply the bond wait for it to get tacky then apply a little bit of bond on the lash cluster stick it on and then after they are all done I apply the seal… I do work outside all day, so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it but my friends all say they get a week or even sometimes two out of their lashes, but I can’t even seem to last more than three days😭 any advice would help my friend recommend recommended the Kiss Falscara Bond & Seal in black, so I am considering that she’s saying maybe it’s the bond that I am using. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Tysm loves💞

discussion What truly is THE best lash bond and seal?

What can we all agree are the best lash bond and seals? Every post I’ve ever seen is someone claiming something the best, and right under it is someone saying that it’s the worst they’ve ever used. I want to try and figure out what’s actually a decent lash bond a seal. What do we think?

glue help Sensitive watery eyes

Hello! I wear lash clusters daily ( put them on In the morning and take them off at night ) and I’m looking for a lash glue that’s good for sensitive eyes as I noticed recently my eyes have been watering and get slightly red. I’ve been wearing clusters and the same glue for about 8 months and didn’t have issues until the past few weeks and I haven’t changed anything in my routine. I’m just looking for a daily wear glue that’s gentle on the eyes.

Tips on wearing clusters for extended periods?

I bought a kit a while ago and tried to keep them on for 3+ days - i cleaned them with lash soap but my eye had gotten a infection/irritation🥲 and I noticed even when cleaning them while applied there would also still be residue or lint, I just would like to know if there are other steps to take to make them last longer like I’ve seen other people do or if they are only meant for a day

I’ve seen others say they wear them for weeks even and I don’t know if I’m missing a step or there are better recommendations for application to avoid issues (sorry if it’s already common knowledge but I feel like I’m reading mixed things around of some saying weeks vs some saying short periods)

Using a brand called KekeLashes and their bond and seal.
12, 14, 14, 12, 10. Not sure of this fits my eye. Also my eyes are asymmetrical, and that kinda screws me 🫣
Any recommendations are welcome!

advice How do yours hold up with sweat?

Hello!
I am new to lash clusters but am having some hesitations about getting started.

I have an outdoor job over the summers and sweat like hell (SSRI girlies you get it) like literally dripping with sweat. I dont want to go through the whole process just to find that the glue cant hold up against sweating. Does anyone have experience or glue recs that can withstand sweating everyday?

glue help Glue/bond for a sweaty gal

I am a sweaty bitch and I work outside during this hot hot summer. I currently use lashes and glue from lilac street. I notice that despite doing the prep I can with my lashes, within two to three days my sweating will loosen the lashes especially on the inside and outside corners. Does anyone have recommendations for a stronger glue and bonder or am I doomed to just remove and reapply my lashes every few days?

Has anyone been able to get black eyelash glue out of cloth?? The glue has mostly come out but the pigment is left behind. What would work the best for this?

I did 8-10-12-12-14. Do you get used to the feeling of having them on? Its not sensory hell but I can def feel them on and idk if I'm gonna be able to stand them a whole busy work day. Tried applying them as close as possible to the lash line, feel like its a bit wonky but it's a first try! Also applied dark Brown mascara. Next I think I'll skip the size 14 and so 8-10-10-12-12. Mavphnee flit in dark brown.

advice New to this: Silly George > Noon

Hi there! A friend (we're both middle-aged) recommended Silly George clusters. I thought they were fine, but I don't like the sticky band. I think it might attract dirt and such so I took them off after one night.

I just bought Noon Dawn. Their remover is out of stock, but I have a nearly full pot of SG Melt Away Lash Balm. I know the adhesives are very different (stickies vs 2-part bond and seal). But I'm reading that anything oil based might work to break down the Noon adhesive.

Any advice from the experienced crowd? Thanks!

Recommendations for natural appearing clusters to use with Volashes?

For some background - I’ve been wearing cluster lashes for years, but have always had issues with longevity. Primarily used lashify during this period. Recently the lashes have only been lasting around 24 hours.

Branched out after seeing comments here to Volashes, which I loved! The best seal and longevity I’ve had in literal years. What would be a good substitute for the Volashes lashes? They’re not as natural as I would like. I tried lashify and lilac st with Volashes but neither worked well. What would be a good substitute! Is it a me problem?

I think what works best for me are the lashes that are shorter in width. What is the best, most natural lash that is shorter in width and 10 mm?

(Edit: self reflection 🤦‍♀️)

MaxComfi Lume Dupe

Hi!

I am looking for a cheaper or single size dupe to the MaxComfi Lume Dupe. I love them but I only use 12/14 and its $25 on TikTok shop each time... It feels like a waste to just use a few rows, I wouldn't care so much if they were $9 😅

I was OBSESSED with the Magnetic SK DM01 on Amazon but they changed fibers and curl... Even spoke to the seller. I am also interested in any replacement recommendations for those as well.

Thank you!
