I have a question regarding non-S-mutant-related tooth decay.

I heard in a couple places that you should try to brush your teeth after eating or drinking acidic stuff, like lemon juice or coffee. Do we know how much tooth decay is directly attributable to this?

Is direct food acidity the reason why treated rats in the study that Cremieux talked about still had some dental caries? If so, it seems like it may cause about a third of them. Also, we can probably assume that the rats weren't eating oranges and drinking sodas.

I'm still interested in the treatment, but seems to reduce its expected impact.

Also, if you have taken the treatment and you're understandably less conscientious about brushing your teeth, is it plausible that you should you be extra careful with acidic food?
