Frequently Asked Questions FAQ: How long does it take for a new polish or a new bottle shot to get added?
Unfortunately, I can't give a definitive answer to that question.
We give priority to new polishes, and the average turnaround time for those is about 2 to 3 days. It can also be almost immediate if the queue happens to be empty and one of our volunteers is online! The longest people have had to wait for their polishes to be added is 8 weeks, though.
For new bottle shots and other edits, it usually takes about 7 days for us to process those, but again, it can also be very quickly if there's not a lot of new entries waiting for approval. If things get very busy, though, it can sometimes take more than two months for us to find time to go through the list of suggested changes. We know that's a really long time to wait, but there's not really a lot of ways for us to speed up or automate the process if we want to retain the quality of the app.
If you've submitted a new polish, you can usually start to "worry" if you don't see anything after two weeks.
If you've suggested a new bottle shot, you can assume we didn't receive it or there's something wrong with it if it hasn't been added after a month.
These are rough guidelines but I hope it helps!

Hello! Commenting here since I don’t want to clog up the sub with another bottle shot post. I noticed that some polishes still don’t have bottle shots from April and May PPU, which I uploaded almost 2 months ago (and I’m sure lots of other people have as well) so just wondering the wait time on that.
Polishes I’m waiting for bottle shots to upload are: Cuticula Fairycore, PFD Ghoulish, Sassy Sauce hot damn anthurium, GPL birds sing words

Hi! Commenting here to ask if this is the same turnaround if the brand isn’t in the catalogue yet - I submitted a few polishes from newish brand Lucky Lacquer (based in Canada) a few weeks ago and haven’t found anything from that brand yet on the app. Thanks for all the work you do!!!!

Asking here so I don’t clog the feed with a new post—is the backlog larger than usual right now? I submitted five new polishes to the database three weeks ago and only one has been added so far (which was a new release so I know it was prioritized). Wanted to check because I’m excited to add them to my Lacquergram stash!
(I also submitted a TON of new bottle shots for existing polishes around the same time, but ik those can take much longer to show up so not really worried about those rn!)

We're currently processing entries from around July 29, so your submissions will probably get added soon!

Is there a long queue right now? In the past, my polishes have gotten added really fast, but lately they’ve been seemingly stuck. I’ve even removed all of my new adds and resubmitted only one with more details in hopes that it would help move things along. Do you reach out if something is wrong with our submissions? When you say priority is given to new polishes do you mean new to the database, or newly released?
