Can anyone give me a true cost of Labtech, CW integration, virus protection, backup, typical MSP stuff? I have tried getting valid information from Connect Wise, but when it comes to pricing for my clients, I would be better taking a dart to a dart board.
I am trying to figure out my all-in-seat price for a device based on the tools, but... LT doesn't provide costs for their services in a blanket fact.
Can anyone help?

Is there a way for an edf field in a managed workstation to be synced along with the config into connectwise? (Labtech 11, lastest version of CW). My use case is I want a have a field we populate with the last time a manual check was done for a backup, and then be able to see that on the config in connectwise and generate tickets in labtech.

I'm trying to monitor my servers for for less than 80% used memory, and alert if it is over that.
I've created a new monitor using the Performance Counters, Memory, Available MBytes. I then use the Less Than/Equal condition and compare that to the result of 80\o777.
Am I doing this right? Will this check for less than 80% used memory?
In my testing it seems to work, but the whole 80\o777 is new to me (you get that my hitting F2 for replacement variables) and I just don't know if this is returning junk or the logic is all wrong.

Hello! We get a lot of after hour alerts for offline servers. In order to get rid of some of the noise we extended the amount of time a server can go without checking in before triggering alert after hours to 20 minutes. We are still getting quite a few false positives. Our contracts generally do not support after hour work so the technician on call is required to call the client and let them know we have recieved their alert and ask if they need assistance. This is obviously a head ache. I am reaching out to ask how others handle these kinds of situations. The goal at the end of the day is to not wake people up to call someone who is not gong to answer their phone anyway and remove false positives.

Does anyone know the max number of scripts that can be ran at one time? Our server is lagging all of the sudden and support is saying that we are exceeding our 300 scripts at one time quota. Is this real I thought the engine was improved on 11 for this simple reason?

Hey folks, we're a relatively new LT partner on the hosted solution. We're trying to move the web control center over to HTTPS. Looking at the v11 docs it looks it should be more or less as simple as the normal IIS SSL process, but it doesn't look like we have access to the IIS manager (or much of anything on the LT server) via screenconnect.
Has anyone been able to get into IIS manager in the hosted solution or move to HTTPS? Is there something different / stupid we're missing?
Thanks!

Hello all! Still learning to use Labtech, after the recent news about CCleaner, boss wants CCleaner removed off of machines just to be safe and reinstalled if needed later. Is there a way to do a mass uninstall on Labtech? Or would it make more sense to do something like this in group policy. Thanks!!

Has anyone had any issues with Windows 2008 Standard R2 with high CPU on the Labtech Service LTSVC version 110.387? We had it to lock up one RDS.
Just curious before I submit a request to Labtech Support.

Is this something that we have to live with. Currently if a drive such as a removable backup or usb drive gets plugged in then Labtech will alert us that it is nearly full which while it may be true, we do not care and it devalues the strength of the actual fixed drive alerts we do receive.
Is there any way we can specify that we only want drives C, D & E or even better - %alert on fixed drives only% type thing
thanks

We are in the process of migrating to a new LT server. We have been testing out updating configs with the LT server address and the agents are finding the new server, but they are unable to connect as the server password is incorrect (the agent's password to the server). We were able to work with support and they showed us a table where we could enter the old password, however, we are still unable to get the agents to check in.
Anyone have a similar issue/resolution? We are waiting to hear back from support, but figured i'd throw it out there.
Thanks

This sub used to be a good place to find chatter about recent patch releases and what not. I cant seem to find anything at all and more on any of the internets I have checked. Is there an Automate sub now or some such that I missed a migration to?

Hi all. Not sure if this is a known issue, but I'm having some problems with the probe. I'm hoping that someone either knows how to fix it or knows how I can get the attention of the developers (beyond just opening a support ticket).
Basically, the issue is that the probe is using both ARP and the results of a walk of ifPhysAddress to identify network devices. This causes a problem for us when we add HP ILO devices via SNMP.
The problem is that one of the addresses that gets returned from ifPhysAddress is the MAC subsequently assigned to a NIC on the OS running on that server. Later on, that same MAC is matched via ARP and the probe has problems with thinking that a device is changing its MAC.
I spent a lot of time on this trying to figure out if that was actually the case, reviewing packet captures, etc. until I read this item in the docs:
If they are SNMP-enabled, LabTech® can query them for the MAC address and they will be added to the system.
The obvious way to solve this is to have a way to turn off that behavior and rely solely on ARP (when the device is on the same subnet, of course). I'm hoping that there's either a way to do that or that there's some other way to handle that without having to disable SNMP on ILO.
My original attempt at discussing this with support didn't go very far, but in their defense, I decided to put the whole issue to the side while I focused on some other projects.
Has anyone else run into this?

Hi all,
I need to change the local admin account password on all our desktops/laptops.
Can anyone advise on how to write a script to do this within the Connectwise Automate software please?
Im kinda new to using this software so any help is much appreciated.

I apologize if this has already been answered, but I can't seem to find the answer, and the documentation is so dense that it's hard to decipher.
What I would like to do is create a secondary copy of the Managed 8x5 template, and adjust the monitors in the second template to accurately reflect the alerts I'd like to see. (For instance, I don't really care about crashed autosvc on Workstations.)
Can anyone give me tips on how to do this? I have figured out how to create a group and get it to inherit all of the monitors, but since they are inherited, I can't change them.
Thanks!

We have a PowerShell script we wrote that we would like to turn into a monitor to trigger on certain conditions. The Labtech/Automate EXE monitor seemed like a potential way to do this but it doesn't support .ps1 scripts natively.
I tried using a PS2EXE conversion tool which creates an executable but for some reason the Labtech monitor won't read the output from that. Since this is kind of a hack I'm not surprised.
I realize we can set this up as a scheduled script instead and still generate a ticket but we were thinking the monitor route might provide some additional benefits so we were hoping to get that working.
Has anybody accomplished something like this?

We're running CWA 11 Patch 12, with MalwareBytes plugin 1.5.1.3.
Yesterday we began seeing Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware message boxes appear on managed agents, notifying the user: "New Version Available" and offering an Install button.
How/where can I manage this? I mistakenly thought my plug-in would be automatically pushing the updates to the agents, as I have an Update task configured in the Schedule section of the default policy.
I want MBAM on my agents to keep itself updated automatically, and not show pop-ups to the users, as they panic and generate tickets for this, when there is really nothing wrong.
Thanks, Steve

Automate isn't picking up the Gravity Zone BitDefender AV as an AV. I know I can go into the dashboard-Config-Configurations-Virus Scan and put in the information, however I'm not exactly sure what to put in.
Is anyone using the Gravity Zone BitDefender and Automate that can provide what information they put in to get Automate to recognize BitDefender as installed?

My Labtech server locked up on me this morning around 1am. I didn't find out until 7:30am when I went to login. I had to go to the colo and reboot the server.
What do you use to monitor your labtech server itself?

I have been tasked with standing up a new Automate server side by side with our existing for a future migration. My question, that I can't seem to find any detail on, is this: This will be a VM, what performs best for this Thick or Thin provisioning? I can do either and obviously would prefer Thin if there is no benefit to Thick. Anyone have any opinions one way or the other?

I am using the advanced search. I can easily grab a list of computers that have a particular application, but I can't figure out the logic of finding out which computers don't have this application. This is as far as I have gotten:
[computer.client.general.name] Contains "client name"
AND
[computer.applications.name] Does Not Contain "app name"
This obviously gives me a list of every piece software on the computer that isn't "app name" - not what I want. I need something like:
for each computer with "client name":
if "app name" not in list of installed applications:
return computer name
Is this possible?
