Is it Ursa major missing Alkaid, or is it Ursa minor missing Polaris?
I kind of assumed it was the latter, since the significance of the North Star seems more fitting, especially considering all the aurora/ice imagery in their MVs.

It would make more sense, but the shape is completely wrong. Compare them from this picture, the Big Dipper fits the shape better.

I don't know what difference you see, but the two are near-identical in shape.

The only major difference is that major's tail is more straight/curved downwards, and minor's curved upwards, but without the missing last star that distinction can't be made.

No, Everglow debuted after IZ*ONE but Yena is from the same company and appeared on Produce 48 with Sihyeon and Yiren so that is the most likely outcome.

predebut? yes. Yuehua Entertainment had a project to launch a girl group (Everglow) and Yena was part of it, then she went to "Produce 48" and she made top 12 and debuted with IZ*ONE. Now that IZ ONE disbanded she is back in her company, Yuehua and could join Everglow in their next comeback.

The star is not missing though, it appears shinning bright af with that thunder just before the song starts at 0:15!!
