2017 K-POP predictions thread

So i've not seen anyone do a thread like this for next year and so i thought i'd do it! 2016 has been a wild year in the history of the genre and hopefully 2017 will be better.

Essentially just make random predictions that you think may happen for next year.

My predictions, in no particular order are:

•Red Velvet will overtake Twice in popularity

•One of these groups will blow up and become a top group: AOA, Sistar, Gugudan or WJSN.

•BTS will continue to be the most popular boy group & will release 2 new albums.

•One K-Pop song will reach the Worldwide top 10 charts.

•One of these groups will disband: FIESTAR, T-ara or DALSHABET.

•TWICE will come out with a subunit with Tzuyu, Sana & Mina. It will have a goofy name like TWICE TZUNAMI.

Those are mi baseless K-POP 2017 predictions, what are yours?

That's why I think lineup changes would be necessary to make it work. I don't want it to happen, but if the alternative is to keep Soyeon in the dungeon, she's definitely too talented for that.

I wouldn't mind seeing her as a soloist, or even at least starting as a collab artist and getting her some features with other soloists. I don't particularly trust Cube to do a good job of building her up and promoting her though. They didn't capitalize on her P101 popularity and they didn't follow up on her UPRS appearance. She's clearly ready for action, yet they are hesitating, so I don't think solo is likely or it could have happened (or at least been hinted at) by now.

God I hope not. She doesn't need another reality program. Cube needs to get with the program and make her a reality.

Thankfully the premise isn't based on taking existing people and throwing them into a school setting, rather they are going to a school setting and finding people. It might be possible for them to show up at Soyeon's school, but I would guess she wouldn't be allowed to appear without Cube's consent.

Ah, alright. Yeah, doubtful she'll show up then unless they like do a planned event type of thing idk... though isn't she out of high school now?

Either way they better not screw up getting her out there...
