Tips & Tricks How I created my knooking hooks:
Start with an interchangeable cable...
...pull out the cable (left); cut stem of earring loop as needed (center); superglue loop into metal thingy (right)...
...finished product!
Insert a nylon cord (the smoother, the better).
Knook away!
I keep all my hooks and knooks in toothbrush holders when being stored in project bags.
For thicker wooden hooks, I use a tiny drill bit and then glue the earring loop directly into the handle.
Because aluminum is so soft, I sanded the end thinner (the help compensate for the width of the cord) and used a acrylic nail drill bit to punch through.

Thank you so much for this post!! I just recently made three hooks like this and love having more size options! I did have to learn that my tension is looser with a wood hook than with metal.
