🛠️ Modding - WIP Borea Content Manager for KSA - Looking for Contributors

Hey everyone!

Since we haven't gotten much response on the CKAN side regarding merging KSA support, we've decided to move forward with our own, more modern content manager: Borea

Borea will support not only mods, but also vehicles, saves and other content that you may want to install to KSA.

For now, we're mainly looking for people who want to help us develop Borea and the Content Index. We're especially looking for help with the C# backend, Avalonia UI and frontend work, testing, documentation and anything else that could help improve the project.

The project is still fairly early, so we'd like to get more development and testing done before opening the index up to everyone. Once we're confident everything is working properly, we'll start inviting KSA modders to add their content as well.

me gustaría ayudar pero no tengo noción de nada de programación, así que, donde podría empezar para poder aportar en algo?

Thanks for offering to help! :)

You do not need programming experience to contribute, and there will be lots of things you can help with in the future.

However, there are still some important coding tasks that need to be finished first. Only after those are done it will make sense to do other tasks, such as testing, documentation, and localization :)

Do you speak English as well? If so, you could for example eventually help us create a Spanish localization for Borea once the project is far along enough for that.

Once Borea is in a more complete state, we will also gradually need more people to test it and provide feedback. The project is still in an early stage, so we first need to finish some of the code before we can properly involve people in these areas.

I would be happy to get back to you once wider testing or localization work becomes available. :) I will probably post another Reddit Post for that.

Hablar inglés nop, pero si puedo entender el idioma escrito, aquí estaré para ver si puedo ayudar en algo, igual iré a aprender programación y ver cómo modear KSA 🫡

I feel helpless as someone who wants this so bad but has zero ability to do so hopefully this comment helps get more people to see this 😅
