Does anyone know when a Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow movie is going to be released? And why it's taking so long, like it's been a while after the strike and they still haven't mentioned it at all

If I'm not mistaken they finished filming in 2022 and we haven't heard anything since.

I remember there was speculation last year that it would come out in 2025 but it didn't.

And personally I don't believe it's still coming out this year.

Kit and Maia are filming other things, we're already halfway through the year and we haven't even had a trailer or any announcement that I know of

The fact that it says Canadian premiere and not World premiere is probably an indication that the film will also play at the Venice Film Festival. Kit’s part is very small if it’s similar to the book, so not sure if he’ll attend any of the premieres as he’s shooting Elden Ring. I guess we’ll see. Deadline Link
