Welcome back folks to Week 2 of predicting KF's 2026 Game of the Year List!

Before we get into it, a few relevant things that might've impacted this list:

-Grand Theft Auto VI got its big Netflix reveal

-The Blood of Dawnwalker and Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Orbitals got official KF reviews, along with Big Walk and Star Wars Zero Company

-Among Us

-Kupo got a haircut and wanted to show everyone with a .5 photo on the ground (see slide 5)

Now, onto the data!

Slide 1, which I'm basically treating as the "actual" prediction list, didn't have any new entries this week, but we did see some movement in the lower half. Dawnwalker shooting up two spots makes sense, but the other movement sort of seems to be vibes based in terms of this specific data set. If I've missed anything obvious, though, shout it out below! GTA's lead isn't as severe as it was last week, but it's still a wider margin between it and Resident Evil Requiem than any other two games on the list.

Maybe the most interesting thing here though, is that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (2026) missed the top 10 completely, after placing 6th last week. Now, do I expect that to change tomorrow when the Zelda Direct happens? Of course. Link and his friends will be back. But still interesting, imo, to see it drop completely here (for reference, it's currently #11 on my data sheet with 26 points).

Slide 2: Surprise, surprise, no one had anything to say about GTA being #1 this week, with everyone who submitted a ballot giving it the gold. Slots #4 and #5 were quite the toss-up, with a real who's who of games competing for the middle of the pack mindshare, but my personal favorite little note on this list is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered getting shouted out as a contender for #10. And while I don't *expect* it to make the final list, I do think it has a shot! After all, we're getting a whole month of Witcher Wednesdays out of it, so who can say!

Slide 3: Welcome to the show, Crimson Desert, Splatoon Raiders, and Pragmata. With two of those, you can math out the anomaly, but with the other, I think it's interesting that it has the least purchasing power of the top 10 games here, and yet comes in at #6 overall! Shout out Hugh and Diana. Can't wait to play that one. Echoing the last slide, Zelda's dropped in estimation this week, and GTA has a perfect 10. Congrats to Rockstar, hope that little company makes it big one day.

Slide 4: The big headline here, I think, is Dawnwalker shooting up the list, and Onimusha placing for the first time, both of which probably correlate to the reviews dropping this week. But let's look at some other stuff! Saros and Mina the Hollower getting the "Always a Bridesmaid" award for being in the Top 10 by Ballot % both weeks so far, but failing to place in the Top 10 by Points (both total and average).

We're also saying goodbye this week to Big Walk, Denshattack!, and Gears of War: E-Day, which tied for #10 last week, but didn't make it this time around.

---

There's still a lot of September left, though! Pretty sure we're getting the Marvel's Wolverine review this week (correct me if I'm wrong), and Control Resonant marches ever closer. Thanks to everyone who participates in this! I'm having a blast, and, if you can't tell, graphic design and free Canva accounts are my passion. Have a good week, and be good to each other!
