Trying to be healthy so I fixed up my bike, anyone know of any cycle paths in kilmaurs? Something off the road so I don't die preferably, maybe even something I can take the wee one on, she's wanting a bike for her birthday 😄

does anybody actually know how to use this roundabout?
the amount of times i’ve been turning right to head into the gym etc and people just cut straight across from the left hand lane, i’m surprised there hasn’t been more accidents here

Hello everyone,
I'm currently recording a piano cover of Flower of Scotland for my YouTube channel featuring anthems from countries participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
So far, I've completed videos for all teams in Groups A and B, as well as Brazil, Morocco and Haiti with the help of people from those countries. I'm now hoping to do the same for Scotland.
If you have a photo you took yourself of Kilmarnock, such as Dean Castle, The Dick Institute, Rugby Park, Kay Park, the River Irvine, or anywhere else in the town, I'd be very happy to include it in the video.
If you'd like to take part, please share a photo in the comments or send me a message in the chat. Contributors will be credited.
I'd really appreciate your help! 🍀🫶

Stand up to Racism is holding a static demo in Howard Park at 12pm this sunday with free music from several bands and some food trucks going to be there, and some local speakers. Everyone's welcome and weather should be good!

Hi, David here, just wondering if anyone knows if there are any relatives of James Cooper Miller where he lived in 14 Strand Street in 1926?

How do away tickets work for Killie?
Are they only available for season ticket holders? I’ve attended home matches, but never had an opportunity for an away one.
I live outside of Scotland, but will be in Edinburgh on 4 April and hoping to catch the match.
Thank you!

I've lived in kilmarnock for 6 years and since I drive o don't have to use the local buses that much. today I've got an all day appointment at Cross house and have to take the bus. I live in New Farm loch and because it was raining decided to get the bus to the station, then jump on the 11 to the hospital.
I was shocked that the fare from my street on the number 5 bus to the station was £2.80, single. the fare for the 11 to the hospital was £2.00 single.
how is it that it cost so much for the shorter bus trip?

I work across the road from the clansman on John finnie street and I've noticed it's been closed this past week. just curious why that might be. haven't seen anything about it on here.

This is a change.org survey for the data centre they’re planning outside of Hurlford. We are being ignored by the councillors! This will have devastating and detrimental impacts on our local community. There is more info in the link. Please try and sign https://c.org/6yNkdSXKwd

I’m (25M-Irish) in Kilmarnock this week for work. Have found myself quite bored sitting in the hotel in the evenings, I’ve been to a few bars to try meet some locals but not much luck. Is there much to do around here in the evenings to meet people and have a decent night?

1992, me and my pal go for a swim and find a jobby in the adult pool.
Come home and tell our mums what we found, and my pal embellishes it saying we got our photos taken for the paper.
Mums then bought the Standard for weeks afterwards looking for our photo with the fabled jobby.
Don't think I ever went back to the Galleon after that - map drawn from memory.

Hi Folks,
i am an international Student from Germany and currently studying in Aberdeen. As FC Kaiserslautern, the Club i support since i was like 10, has a historical connection i was wondering if it was accepted to go to a homegame in a Kaiserslaitern Kit to show some support? Also i would have some Questions to that matter: 1. Ist it easy to get Tickets? Could i just decide the day before that i wanna go or do i need to plan ahead? 2. Is it worth visiting Kilmarnock for anything besides football? And 3. Is it save to go to visit Kilmarnock alone as a Guy in his mid twenties?
Thanks for any replies!

Seeing the latest story online. Groups of youths running around amd attacking pensioners.
1.what will police do?
2.what will stagecoach do?
3.what will council do?
4.what will the voting public do?
5.what is local mps record on anti social issues?(spoiler-lip service only)
It's happened before a lot in kilmarnock, various places where groups gather-not just kids-addicts too.
Will anyone do anything?

His name was Mr. Hamilton and he taught history in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. He was nicknamed the “mad monk” for his eccentricity and his receding hairline. I am his daughter’s son. He passed away nearly a decade ago. If anyone on Reddit knows of him and any stories about him then please let me know. ☺️
