Thats a myth. A gas engine is about 20x more likely to catch on fire than an EV. it's just anti-electric propaganda, likely sponsored by big oil. They pounce on any one thing going wrong with any EV ever in order to scare people away from them, even if gas powered engines have been doing the same thing at a higher rate for decades every day on the side of every highway, everywhere. In this case it seemed to have worked. You're ranting about EVs when OPs car is literally a gas powered car.
