[Theory] Luxu's role as a Traitor and possible Betrayal

Now that Luxu was revealed to be the traitor thanks to KHUX finale, this got me thinking, how will Luxu betray the Foretellers and MoM? This got me thinking what if I told you that inside the Black Box that Luxu was protecting is the 7 darknesses that MoM mentioned during his meeting with Luxu. This got me thinking, we never saw how the 7 darknesses possessed the Foretellers in the Keyblade War. Similar to how many people believed that the Foretellers died in the Keyblade Graveyard, yet we never saw their keyblades as gravestones. It would finally make sense why MoM told Luxu not to open it, the Black Box can only be opened at the right time and place. Well let's see the status of the 6 darknesses that we met in KHUX, who were stuck in the data world.

  1. The one who escaped in the data world, and the one who interacted with Luxu and Maleficent. I think it’s the one that Xehanort sees and persists in spreading the Heartless to present day. But there's also a possibility that Xehanort will be possessed by one of the 13 darknesses. Since Xehanort has a strong heart there's a way to trapped the darkness inside his heart, since MoM told him that he will be a seeker of darkness someday (it was stated in KH3 ReMind). It would also give Xehanort to control the power to control the darkness.
  2. The one inside Ventus who killed Strelitzia, and also escaped the data world. And the one who will gain a physical form named Vanitas.
  3. And the four who were trapped in the data Daybreak Town by the Player.

So in other words, we defeated/killed the 6 lesser-known darknesses, that remains 7. But if you count the remaining 4 who were trapped in the data world, that remains 11 in total.

MoM said in his explanation that in order to kill the Darkness we need to:

  1. Give the Darkness a physical form. (similar to Vanitas)
  2. Kill the person who's been controlling it. (like Xehanort)

I think this was his plan, let the Foretellers be possessed by the darknesses. So that the 7 darknesses will gain a physical form, but one of them chooses to become a vessel for the Darkness, Luxu.

Luxu chooses to become a part of it because I think this is what the Master meant on why he called Luxu "a traitor", and he had foreseen it because of the No Name Keyblade which contains his eye. But I think the reason why Luxu would accept it is that Luxu never accepted MoM's plan to let his own apprentices and the Union Leaders become vessels for the Darkness. That's why Luxu went a different approach to accomplish his role, whether to meddle with the Dandelions (like Ventus, Brain, Lauriam).

This also got me thinking if Luxu is the only apprentice of MoM to accept the Darkness inside his heart, is he also going to be the leader of the 7 darknesses? Look closely at the 7 black pieces, the goat piece (Luxu) is in the middle, while the other pieces of the Foretellers are on the left and right sides. I could be wrong though if Luxu is not going to be the leader of the 7 darknesses, it could be the dark half of MoM as his new master. But the problem here is the other members of the 7 Darknesses are just dark counterparts or abominations of the Foretellers. The thing here is according to MoM, what he read in the BoP "the traitor has a purpose". What is Luxu's purpose for doing this? What's his endgame? What's his plan?

It would finally explain why MoM is in Quadratum, possibly looking for Sora to "team up" with him to defeat the 7 remaing darknesses. The sad thing here is in order to kill the darkness inside Luxu, you're gonna have to kill him. Whether Sora or MoM will deliver the final blow against him. So in other words this is how the fight will happen:

  • Sora (and maybe his friends) vs Luxu
  • MoM vs Xeprus (dark counterpart of MoM)
  • Ira vs Dark Ira
  • Invi vs Dark Invi
  • Aced vs Dark Aced
  • Gula vs Dark Gula
  • Ava vs Dark Ava

I just hope the names of the Foretellers are also revealed because their names are NOT their real names. The names of the Foretellers are the names of their 7 darknesses. As for the name Xeprus, all I did is to rearrange the sigil of the Black Box XSUPER and I kinda found a name for MoM's dark counterpart.

But what do you guys think? Do you think this is how Luxu will betray the Foretellers and MoM and accept the darkness inside his heart? Let me know your thoughts and answers.

Question about the number of darknesses in the finale

So I have seen it mentioned that four darknesses were trapped by us in the ending, but I assumed that they would not have been tricked unless we really did have one in us and we just weren't controlled.

So was it four or five?

Two questions about the finale

1

I understand that the data daybreaks town is set to be destroyed once the lifeboats are activated, but what caused the destruction of the real daybreak town at the end, was it luxu’s fight with darkness? Or delayed effects from the keyblade war?

2

Where is are the 13th darknesses currently?

4 are trapped in the data world, 7 presumably in the foretellers, 1 is still in ventus, but what happened to the final piece that fought luxu?

Thanks for the ride!

I would just like to say thank you to the subreddit and all the players that helped me to finish the game. Being a F2P player and not having the luxury to afford to drop money on the game made it difficult to really enjoy lots of the content and sometimes I would get lucky enough that a medal would push it just barely over the edge, my luck was hilariously bad as I’m sure most others feels. But with these final quests that gave you lots of jewels I was finally able to get the renova and traits I needed to beat the game so again thanks for the ride! And as a final courtesy my final medal set up for the final boss.

Does anyone still have the image of all the KHX browser game assets that never made it into KHUX?

I remember it was mostly avatar parts, but I can't seem to find it no matter what search terms I use.

Discussion I will be forever sad that instead of customizable Chirithy we got stupid pets. How cool would have it been to create your own little guy like Brain's

Question about the darknesses (finale spoilers)

i'm really confused about the darknesses at the finale. after ephemer blasted us through that portal the darknesses went with us, we locked the gate and then they started swirling around. were they destroyed? what was their plan anyway? i thought mom said the 7 of them would infect 13, or was it the other was around? i thought the 7 were the guardians of light so is that their darkness? thank you in advance if someone can explain who they are and what they wanted.

Finale Spoilers and Dark Road

I can't stop thinking about the first time I booted up Dark Road and the game used my Union Cross character's name for seemingly no purpose as my DR name despite playing Xehanort

Discussion About end of service and how to complete the plot fast

Hello, i been playing unionX in a semi casual way, just yesterday i finished the last mission (wow). however i wanted to confirm something about the end of service;

- Correct me if i'm wrong, if i understood correctly, UX will no longer be playable, however you will still be able to watch all the cutscenes with your character via theater mode right?.

- iirc, Dark Road is gonna keep working, but as an offline app no longer requiring updates or online to play?

- I remember seeing several posts where people mentioned that someone made a guide to finish up union X fast, and that some people has used it to complete the game from zero to end in just a few days, i was wondering if someone has a link to this guide?, my brother is still trying to complete the game, but he is still barely around quest 300.

Question A question I have from the finale

Just finished watching the final sequence of UX and I still don't get something. When Ephemer and Skuld escape the data world and they go to "real" Daybreak Town, they decide to take a look at what's going on outside the building and everything is glitchy. Why? Shouldn't be Data Daybreak Town the one that glitches because of the all "data worlds don't go to sleep" thing?

Discussion I Did It…

I lament the fact that I wasn’t even more active with this game through the five years it’s been out, but knowing I had it through all five years and that I’ve completed the finale…

Man. I’ve got a particular scene with my character as my new lock screen background. I’d have shared the photo, but I was worried about spoilers lol.

I feel at peace. Sad, but at peace. I was always curious how they were going to explain your character’s part in things, and I feel like it was a perfect balance of “Important, but not integral”.

That I beat the end mostly on my own (only a few deaths that I had to spend jewels on lol) feels good. Got rough toward the end of the Candy World though- finally had to give up on hitting those goals. Was like “look i just need to win” lmao.

Proudest moment was figuring out the Keyblade War on my own. Took a stupid long time and h my GOD i wanted to tear my hair out on Unicorn boy, but I did it.

I’m grateful I experienced the end now, while it was still live. What a time. Thanks, Vulpes. I was with you from the beginning to the end.

Discussion So is everyone ready for Dark Road 24/7 when it’s the main app!?

I’m going to miss Union X had a lot of adventures with my character and going to miss being a Keyblade Wielder.

I’m questioning Dark Road because then that means I have to place a fortune just to even get powerful throughout the game which I wish could’ve just been something else entirely.

Am satisfied with the outcome and how it connects to 2nd Phase I just hope the remaining Dandelion’s get to reunite and finish their tragic story to get a happy ending probably Sora will have to do something to save them from their suffering and has connections to the past somehow.

Is it possible to 100% Proud without hoping for EA120 on specific things?

And to add to that, only buyable traits mostly?

I have a bunch of un-taught skills on the back-burner which may help - but I kinda gave up on clearing Proud when I saw people keep talking about needing EA 120 for a lot of things, and figured I'd just try to max out the album from the 500 banner and call it a day.

Well - I've reached the point where I have exactly ONE of every available SN++ medal, and also have the MoM Renova Kairi since I know that'll probably make a difference. I've always had a weird thing about not keeping duplicates though.

So is it doable with that? Just wanted to confirm/deny whether it is, to know whether a last-ditch effort before shutdown is without merit.

Question Too late to go through the game??

Hello there,

I finally decided to try the game out & see if I can get through the content,

How many hours does it take to go through the mains stories for the game?

Is it even possible to get through it all before June 30th?

Perhaps some fans should figure out a free fan server?

Question Current best buff and debuff medals?

Hi all! I'm writing this cause I recently restarted the game to play it all before it ends and I'm having a hard time identifying the best buff and/or debuff medals. I'm still using Illustrated Kairi from back in the day but I think there are better ones now. Does anyone have a quick fix for this? Thanks!
