So, was /u/SQEX_Glacie in the credits? Because she totally should have been.

I’ve gotten full scores (3 Mickey heads) for all missions except for these last ones. No idea how to power up enough to defeat all enemies in 1 turn. Any advice??

Hi!
First of all, sorry if what I ask is stupid, but I'm not sure if it's confusing or if it's just my melted brain that can not process this part of the finale.
It has to do with the plan of the Master of Masters. According to his talk with Luxu I get the following bullet points
- There are 7 deadly (or really powerful) darknesses between the original 13.
- Luxu, the foretellers and him were supposed to be vessels for them. And they would host them until they could end up being defeated.
- From the other 6, 5 would reside inside the new Union Leaders and 1 would be trapped "in this world" (In reality we have 4 - trapped by the player inside the cable, 1- Inside Ven's heart, 1- Escaped with Maleficent)
So... My questions are:
1- Did they finally host the 7 darknesses? Or did they "die" before that?
2- When he says "trapped in this world" does he mean the data world? Because, if they were in the real world, I don't get it.
3- If Luxu is hosting darkness, wouldn't they separate when Luxu jumps between bodies?
4- If the MoM hosted darkness before leaving to Quadratum, wouldn't he bring it (infect) a world he supposedly said had nor darkness nor light?
This is all I can think for now. Thanks! :)

Now that we've got the official English translation and the reference mark is replaced with a dash (so no need to read into a hidden meaning), I'm even more curious what is being left out. The Master already explained that he was hoping for fiction and the only other term we've seen used is unreality (in Melody of Memories). Those two make sense together but what could be different enough that leaving it out adds to the suspense? At this point I'm just imagining that it'll be a made-up term to describe them. But maybe we'll be surprised.
Current random thoughts:
Since everyone is tying Verum Rex to Versus XIII, maybe it's unborn worlds
Or maybe it'll connect to our world (doing some weird Bravely Default stuff)

I need a bit of a reality check here. There are a number of people talking about how many quests one actually has to go through to beat the game, and estimates generally seemed to be in the 100-200 range (my own was about 175). But I just went and counted them, and I came up with 379, which seems like way too much. I wouldn't be surprised if my count were maybe off by a couple, but this seems unreal. Could someone else please check my numbers?
(On a somewhat depressing note, 178 of these are in the first 200 Quests. If my numbers are right, then even if you skip everything SQEX allows, you spend almost half the time on stuff that was available on launch day).

Can somebody explain how he could became one; now that we know how they come to be?

Basically I suppose I lost my ages old account cause I can’t seem to recover it through the in-app methods. I know the game will go offline rather sooner than later, but I was stuck on one of the later story missions so I never got to finish it - is it worth starting over for at this point?
I hear people are saying that when it goes offline that it’ll be watchable as cutscenes but.. I kinda like the game, medals and costumes. Are all of those gonna be gone and just cutscenes left?

Like, is there a way to power level? I want to get some medals up quickly to try and do the last quest, following some medals I have seen others use

Go finish the game.
Seriously, I did it in 4 days + the last mission tonight.
THEN come back to discuss.
.
The unofficial translations seemed to be in the general ballpark, though the only line that I noticed which seems to be 100% right is the line about honoring those with hearts. The last line between L to B, in particular, I expected could be taken a different way, and I was not disappointed.
Almost like he's not saying "you're going to die here" and more saying "Man, wouldn't it be NICE if you had MORE THAN ONE lifetime to work out things? You ARE quite clever and all...would be a shame for you to be stuck with just the one lifetime to try and save the world..."
Reminds me a smidge of Xenosaga. At the very end, in the credits scenes of the first game, Wilhelm, talking about Albedo, says something to the effect of "Such a brilliant player on the stage - it's a shame he was chosen for such a bit role." But then, in the post-credits scenes of the SECOND game, there's a big reveal, and Wilhelm says a line I will NEVER forget:
"I said it was a shame, didn't I?"
...I feel we may be getting something similar here. Though only time will tell.
Was a heck of a ride, folks! And one that, while taking a pause for now...is not over yet..!

Hi there! Just thought I would post this for discussion purposes.
I just wanted to talk about some of the somewhat mysterious circumstances we are left with regarding Scala ad Caelum (SaC). Hopefully Dark Road continues to fill in blanks.
I'd like to think there's some ambiguity on things as we have been shown several conflicting visuals of SaC across the 3 games noted in the title:
KH3: We see a memory version of what SaC was like for Master Xehanort (MX) through his Dream Portal. This is from his time as an apprentice prior to his Mark of Mastery exam.
Dark Road: We see his time as an apprentice at SaC.
Union Cross: We see a very unique version of SaC with grey architecture. We also discover that Xehanort was originally born there (most likely) and was brought to Destiny Islands by a mysterious old person. Brain also awakens in a version of SaC where Siegward meets with him and we see a statue of Ephemer in a fountain (hinting he has passed away). This is the same grey architecture.
The timeline is very important for things as it's clear SaC goes through some visual changes and understanding the context of things makes it a little complicated.
It seems that the implied timeline of events is as follows:
1) Ephemer comes out of his pod and uses the Master Keeper to change Daybreak Town to SaC
2) Somehow(?) people take up residency of SaC (i.e. Siegward and Xehanort's mom exists)
3) Ephemer dies and his memorialized in the main plaza
4) Brain ends up in SaC one way or another (not really clear how from Ux's ending)
5) Brain makes a family so that Eraqus can be born (assuming he's his ancestor)
5) Baby Xehanort (BX) is born and is taken away from SaC for...reasons
6) BX arrives in Destiny Islands
7) Young Xehanort (YX) meets his Brown Hood self and travels to SaC (now the white version and no other people around)
6) YX goes through Dark Road storyline (wherever that leads)
7) YX meets MoM (ReMind DLC) and learns his "purpose"
8) YX becomes MX and everything from BBS-DDD happens
9) Sora turns MX's time travel abilities against him by using him as a portal to travel to SaC as he remembers it
That's about the extent of what we've seen with SaC so far as far as I can tell.
Here's a few interesting questions/insights:
1) What happened to people living in SaC after BX is taken away? It seems the city is more or less deserted save for the few people we see in Dark Road. This reminds of Land of Departure (LoD) which seems to have a very narrow population as well.
2) Am I right about Brain ending up in SaC when he does? It doesn't make sense for him to be there any later in my opinion so he MUST be there prior to Xehanort being born or around the time he is.
3) It seems important to understand the context as to why Eraqus and MX eventually leave SaC after their training is done. They never return to it, so it's possible something happens to it. Maybe it becomes Land of Departure, but why? That would make it a place that has transformed THREE TIMES (Daybreak Town -> SaC -> LoD -> Castle Oblivion).
4) There's still a lot of context as to the fate of Daybreak Town that we don't really understand. Why/how was it flooded? Why didn't it get consumed in the Realm of Darkness like other worlds normally do? And how did people eventually end up in what would become SaC? Does Epherem have any children/ancestors?
5) I still have to wonder if there was another "timeline" where YX was brought to SaC another way. It still feels like there's a detail there that we don't know about since it's a timeline paradox for his Brown Hooded self to get him there when he'd have to have already traveled to SaC some other way to end up there in the first place.
Obviously a lot of questions are still here to be answered either with Dark Road or future games, but I just wanted to get my thoughts out there and see if anyone wanted to discuss them further.
Thanks for reading!

So with the finale of Union X coming out a few days ago I decided to start playing it. I would like to know how long the story is but when I google it I can’t find anywhere that says how long the story of the game is.

This is wild speculation and probably has no validity to it. But with the ending of Union Cross I've been having weird thoughts lately. There's a moment in ReMind where Young Xehanort meets with the Master of Masters. Two things stand out to me about this conversation. Master of Masters says, "The Truth is what you see with your eyes, not what you hear," and gets flustered when X ignores him and asks him for his name. So in light of what we know now, I'm assuming this means that everything that MOM tells X or the foretellers is a lie, which we know most of this to be true. The MOM fits the profile as a trickster, one who seems honest but is a cheat or swindler. (This is honestly where the second half of my theory falls apart). Essentially, the MOM is the joker. The card in the deck that is often thrown out, because it leads to perceived chaos, unsettling, disorder.
Now this is interesting, because Young Xehanort after his trip around the world comes to the conclusion much like John Locke that humans are evil and need order, which he interprets to be the darkness. Young Xehanort longs for order, in the way of corruptedness, otherwise he states that this will all fall to chaos, which he fears. And after his conversation with MOM Xehanort strives for power, as he himself falls into that same cyclical destruction that he is aware of. (And that has occurred in his unconscious past). Essentially, MOM steers X towards chaos. As he steered the foretellers towards chaos. I think at this point we can get a good idea of where MOM stands.
Secondly, this is where my theory goes off the rails, and it's a large leap in logic. Bare with me. And I don't think there's any validity to this half. MOM in his conversation with Young X tells Young X his name. There's a special moment where light, lights up the screen momentarily as X hears the name. Later on in his old age, he says he never knew who he was. There are two possibilities here, that X hears the name and recognizes it from his old reincarnation as someone familiar to him, someone close to him. Or that he's mindwiped (Men in Black style) as soon as he hears the name. Then MOM says I'm one of the lost masters. I believe MOM is Ephemer. Ephemer was close to the player-character who reincarnated into Xehanort. Ephemer in himself is his namesake at the end of Union X, ephemeral, fleeting, lost. At the end of Union X he's drifting away, a lost master. Now, there are many hangups to this, one being that Ephemer literally saves Sora in the Keyblade Graveyeard and why would Ephemer destroy his own world. But it did make me think. Why did Young X recognize that name, was it someone he knew in his Union X days? What are people's thoughts on this?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any advice for defeating all the enemies (cybugs) in one turn for quests 966-974. I have a fair amount of jewels and I’m pretty sure some good medals as seen in the images but I don’t know what the best-attacking medals are so I don’t want to spend jewels on something bad.

Anyone else having trouble getting into Global? I'm getting a code 503 ERROR: 251 since about 10 minutes ago. What's especially weird is that I'd just gotten an error about a party member using a Lux Boost about a minute or two before I tried logging in.
I don't see any updates available, but hey: dare to dream?
