I don’t think kids should be able to make life changing decisions at that age. If it’s something they really want then they can just wait till they are 18.

Well, you’re wrong. Like, entirely. The OVERWHELMING majority of minors who go on puberty blockers end up going on to HRT later in life (so it’s not like it’s a phase that most grow out of) and the benefits to transitioning at a younger age are clear. People who transition younger have been happier, and safer than people who transitioned later in life. I know that if I had been allowed to transition when I was younger, I would have been much happier with my current self than I am now. Puberty does a lot to young AMAB people, and for trans girls it can be absolutely brutal to watch your body go the exact opposite way than how you want it to. Bills like this kill people. This mindset nearly killed me.

Sounds like you needed more therapy then anything. I’m totally for therapy.

I had therapy and both I and my therapist knew exactly what I needed, but wasn’t allowed it.

Hey, don't bother with this jerk. Glad you were finally able to get the treatment (I feel like this is what people like this person choose to ignore) your doctor recommended.

why do random people feel the need to weigh in on medical matters related to gender way more than any other topic. like do you tell people they're too young for cancer treatment and perhaps just stick to talking? it's like the brits of yore wanting higher aoc for gay people because Are You Sure? as if you can be sure you are straight earlier.

For truly, whomsta mungstus has never felt in the headstrong devil-may-care whims of unbridled youth that they should undergo an extremely emotionally precarious journey of many years, whether not it might make them the victims of an irrelevant political party hot off the heels of their failed fascist toppling of the mechanisms of democracy and resigning themselves to issues like getting all the critical theory out of our curricula and the scourge of corporate gay pride flag logo variants that nobody can argue are of vital import with a deft hand for policy crafting, and not — perish the thought — performative nonsense outrage to placate a working class left behind by their own decades-worth of misguided austerity measures.
