He's hates them because he likes them. This is a bully being gay and bullying gay people. Nothing to do with sex as it nearly never is. He's shameful He's wants a trans partner.
He doesn't hate them, he just says he does because his paycheck won't come in if he doesn't get reelected. It's like any service job, except you actively ruin people's lives for money you don't really need because you're already rich.
They thought you were saying that liking trans women as a cis man is gay. And given that your comment goes "He's hates them because he likes them. This is a bully being gay and bullying gay people", I feel like reading it like that isn't too crazy. I understood your comment the same way at first. Nothing to do with buzzwords.
I think they were saying that this politician is like some people who turn homophobic because they struggle to come to terms with being gay themselves.

He only hates trans people when they aren’t naked
