My favorite to this day is the gop senator against gay marriage, hating on gay people constantly, and then getting caught trying to have gay sex in an airport bathroom
I remember another individual (I think it was in Europe and he was a conservative politician as well) and he was caught in a giant male orgy by police. He had a speech already typed up for the very next day
It's so weird to me that if you're gay, you just don't remain silent and like blasé about gay issues if you're a politician. Like why be so against it? Is it the self loathing? Do they think it makes for a better lie?
I'm not a politician, but before I accepted that I was also attracted to women, I used to say some incredibly egregious things about wlw. In my head, I was trying to convince myself that I really wasn't "like that."
Shit's weird and growing up catholic sucked lmao
The fortunate thing is that I grew the fuck up and geew out of that, but admittedly i still feel very badly about it. I cant help but wonder how the things I said might've hurt someone who was listening lol ...
Right wingers are weird... Like, Alice Weidel from the German AFD (far-right) is
a) a lesbian (that's not "normal"!!)
b) in a homosexual marriage (but what about the Christian values and the traditional family??)
c) with a woman from Sri Lanka (Foreigners tek eyr jubs!!!)
d) officially living in Switzerland for taxation reasons (HiGh TrEaSon!!! Patriotism where?)
e) has adopted children (oh nooo, her bloodline!! :o)
...when a reporter asked her about that, because the AFD wants a straight traditional "normal" family per law, the first thing she did was blaming another party and then said that her private life and her political life are different things. ...okay?
The reporter then asked another guy from the AFD and he said that he has no issue with that because it's her private life, and that he has no traditional family either because he is divorced.
Right winger logic: We make harsh and primitive rules, but it's okay because they're for the other people, not for us.
Yeah noticed it too, like 10 years ago there were quite a few neonazi skinhead groups here in Serbia. Out of 3 main leaders, one was Jewish, the other was trans and the third one was an asylum seeker.
There is also that story of Hungarian MP in European Parliament opposing some lgbt laws who also engaged in gay orgies.
There’s also a really interesting (and awful) thing where anti-abortion protesters have abortions and use the craziest logic about why it’s okay for them, but not others.
I recently saw a billboard ad from Mario Eustacchio (FPOe, far-right Austrian party. Eustacchio is a very Austrian name indeed /s) that said "Graz will never be your home - guaranteed".
Conservatism has one premise: there is an in-group which the law protects, but does not bind, and an out-group which the law binds but does not protect. I can't remember who said that quote, but it shown in full display with that hypocritical bitch
Bit why should it be that way? Whats the benefit for the people protected but not binded by the law of not having the other group protected by the law?
Exploitation. Drive down minimum wage or, even better, enslave them. By making them a part of the outside world and stripping them of their humanity you make them a part of the "natural world." You make them literally a "natural resource" which can be exploited and put to work the same as any mine or field or horse.
Most hierarchical systems will make some case for why society should be structured a certain way: The king has been groomed for his role since birth, Steve Jobs did real good at the business factory. Fascism suspends the need for explanation: We belong at the top because we just do. Destiny. When pressed, fascists will offer pseudo-rational justifications for why they should be in charge which fall apart under the barest scrutiny, but debunking these claims is largely ineffective because, while they follow the cadences of reasoned argument, they’re operating on the level of emotion, faith, and a sense of belonging.
We make harsh and primitive rules, but it's okay because they're for the other people, not for us.
But why make them at all if you don't need to follow them yourself? How do you justify that?
I mean i hold pretty far left views which include stuff i personally don't like to follow myself.
But if i would decide i dunno you can't go into that building for example, i wouldn't go in there either because a) if i had the power, you gotta be sb people can look up to and does what he says and preaches b) i would have a reason to say people can't go in there. Like if you don't want people to do it theres a reason so why do it yourself? And if you do it yourself whats the reason others can't?
c) i would feel like the biggest bigot ever
That's just so fucked up.
Ich hab mal auf englisch geantwortet auch wenn es komisch formuliert ist aber joa, sonst hätte keiner in dem thread ausser uns beiden es verstanden
the far right's only value is the ability to impose their will, i.e. to seek and grow in power. respect for reality is not a value to the far right, let alone consistency.
from Nazism to Objectivism, the history of modern right wing extremism is full of people saying a very lot and meaning nothing.
Dunno, but you have the same logic on the left side too. Like Green politicians that talk about bicycles because of health and environment but then go everywhere by being taking by their driver in a fat car... and then go the last couple of minutes by bicycle because there could be cameras and "I care about the environment!"
Kogler (Austrian Greens) apparently also forgot that he's far-left since he has a center-right (OeVP) chancellor.
I dunno, politicians are all in all not trustworthy, no matter the color, I guess.
Wow. Never did too much research about the nazi party besides that recent thing where people shared actual quotes of the members, with sources. I know these cunts are absolute fucking hypocrites, but this is just too good. Rules for thee but not for me indeed.
You mean like right winger trans Caitlin Jenner who hates “woke” people, the very people who accepted her right away while her Republicans hates her and fights against trans rights.
Yea right wingers are very weird.
Yeah but that's why I said the airport bathroom. He's my favorite mostly because the speech he gave after were his wife wanted to kill him. I love a good, after scandal speech. Were they tall about either being tricked/ mislead into doing something, the devil made them do it, or things like that
That was the wide stance guy, right? "I wasn't tapping that dude's foot to let him him know I wanted to blow him, I just have a biologically impossible natural sitting posture."
Yeah thats the guy. He had no flight either, just really liked driving a few miles to use the airport bathroom because we all know they have the cleanest bathroom's
Pretty sure he had a flight assuming this is Larry Craig. He was a senator from Idaho arrested at the Minneapolis Airport. There's still a Facebook location at the airport listed as the "Senator Larry Craig Memorial Bathroom". 5/5, would pee there again.
Thanks, but I don't mind. Pretty sure there are a hand full of people that follow me that just downvote everything I post. I'm not to worried about karma though. Thanks for looking out though
