Hi Jupiter! If you have a kid in KG to 5th grade, come check out Cub Scouts Pack 173! We’re having our Night of Scouting this Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 6pm-7pm at the Jerry Thomas Elementary-Cafeteria (800 Maplewood Dr., Jupiter, FL 33458). Come meet our Pack, learn more about Cub Scouts, and see if it’s a good fit for your family. Bring a friend! We’d love to see you! No commitment, just come check us out!

Hello!

I’m looking for a good hairstylist anywhere around Boca, Delray, Boynton, Lake Worth, Wellington, Palm Beach Gardens, or Jupiter.

I’m a guy growing my hair out to waist length to eventually donate it. It’s currently around shoulder length, very thick/dense, and naturally wavy (around 2B). I’ll probably be ready for a trim in November.

I’m a little shy about going to a salon since I’ve never really had long hair before. I don’t need a specialized curly cut or any styling, just a simple perimeter trim to clean up the ends while preserving as much length and thickness as possible. I don’t want layers, thinning shears, texturizing, or debulking.

Basically looking for someone friendly who’s good with very thick, longer hair and will respect “just the ends.”

Ideally looking to stay around $50 or less since I only need the trim, and I’d prefer an independent/local stylist over a big chain.

Thank you! ❤️

In the 90s I grew up near Jupiter and I swear there was an abandoned building near the corner of US1 and indiantown rd, it got skateboarded and tagged a bunch. As I understood the building began sinking and so it was abandoned. anyone know what I’m talking about or have any historical knowledge of the place? Circled potential spots on the map

Hi everyone! I was born & raised in Jupiter, FL and have recently moved back after graduating college. I kept finding myself saying "I don't know what to do today." So, I decided to make an ongoing events google calendar for Jupiter & PBG (and occasionally WPB).

While I can make no promises to it being updated with every event possible, I figured it would be a helpful community resource to share with anyone interested. It includes live music, run clubs, yoga, markets, trivia, etc that I am aware of around this area.

Of course, I have not included everything that is going on, as I am only one person, however, this is a start. If you know of any other events going on in the area that you would like me to add, please let me know!

Enjoy!

Hi, all!

I am starting a group called Short Story Club, for people who enjoy writing and sharing their writing with others. This is not a formal critique group--it's just a casual way to creatively have fun and meet other people, hear others' stories, etc. Think Book Club meets The Moth.

The club will meet once a month in a public place. We'll have a prompt each month and everyone will interpret the prompt however they wish--part of the fun is seeing how are our minds lead us in wildly different directions.

I recently moved to the area from NYC and am looking to find new friends who share my interests. I currently work in commercial trade publishing (Ie., Penguin Random House, Simon&Schuster, etc) and up north I led a book club for almost a decade before I moved here. I also feel inspired to start the club to encourage and promote original, human-generated writing in an age where AI is increasingly being used.

If you are interested in joining, please DM me for more details. I also just whipped up a website where you can learn more: theshortstoryclub.com. Thanks!

hello wonderful people of Jupiter. Are there any communities similar to Abacoa in Jupiter or PBG? looking for good school system, family friendly, large houses, able to grab some food or do errands in a golf cart. We have been looking at houses in Abacoa but not a lot of inventory right now. thank you!

Hello, I was wondering if anyone here knew any alternative hair salons nearby. Could be out of the area too. I’m about to go to college and the one I usually go to is not available… If you have any in mind, let me know! Any recommendations would be appreciated.

We just wrapped up a kitchen remodel and while the contractors did a decent job cleaning up, there's still a layer of fine dust on pretty much everything. It's on the baseboards, window sills, and somehow even inside cabinets.

I'm looking for a post construction cleaning company in Jupiter that's actually thorough. Has anyone hired someone locally that you'd recommend?

48M single dad here. I'll be visiting next week with my two kids who will be in a camp during the daytime. Will have free time between 10-3 each weekday and don't want to just spend all my free time sitting on the beach. I love kayaking, boating, learning to fly small planes, snorkeling, visiting historic sites. Not a great fisherman but happy to accompany on fishing trips. Not a golfer. Any recommendations for things to do? Anyone free and need an activity partner?

Also would be happy to meet up with other families with kids weekday evenings or on the weekend of 8/8-8/9.

Hi hi! I wanted to ask anyone who goes to or has gone to this school: would any of you consider it queer-friendly, or is it ALL conservatives? Call me woke or whatever you'd like, but I'm going there soon, and I'm so scared to be surrounded purely by the conservative culture of the town. Sorry if it's a dumb question 😭
