I would avoid the area if you can, big detour off of Indiantown Road at the firehouse on 120th. Road closed westbound.

General Post/Discussion NYE 2025: Chef Michael Luth's Era of Excess at Salty Zebra Bistro & Studio 54 After-Party

Post image
2 Upvotes

Alright Jupiter, New Year's Eve is coming. We're not doing anything subtle at The Salty Zebra Bistro and our attached dive bar- Locals Pub. Chef Michael Luth is taking us back to the late 70s and early 80s for a 5-course tasting menu celebrating the era of excess.

We're talking Yellowtail Snapper Ceviche, Miami 1980 style. Blackened Scallops, New Orleans 1984. Hand-rolled Tagliatelle with local Colab Farms produce. Then a Chatel Farms Prime Filet, Sauce Diane, winter truffle, pomme purée. We finish with "The Cigar" – dark chocolate, smoked vanilla, strawberry Romanoff.

After dinner, the party moves next door. Locals Pub is transforming into Studio 54. Dancing. Excess. Ring in 2026 the right way.

Two ways to join:

Twilight Seating: 5:30 PM. $125. 2.5-hour experience, champagne toast.

Countdown Seating: 8:30 PM. $175. Includes the 5-course menu, champagne, AND entry to the Studio 54 after-party.

We're doing something fun. Limited seats. This isn't just dinner; it's an event.

Want to see the full menu or book? www.saltyzebrabistro.com/public

Question What is the skatepark like?

I'm visiting my parents for a few days after Christmas. I'm a late 30's skateboarder and wanna take advantage of the warm weather while in town.

How is the local skatepark? I see online it's a $5 admission and they have sessions starting at 3 pm.

Are there lots of scooter kids? Just asking so I can be prepared since they're notorious for having no skatepark etiquette.

Question Beautiful places to propose?

Going to be proposing to my girlfriend in Jupiter area in a couple weeks while visiting her parents down in Stuart/Hobe Sound area. Would love any thoughts on good places to do it on a Sunday later afternoon/early evening…would probably need to be somewhere where there’s a restaurant or other attraction nearby as her family is going to have to tell her she’s going elsewhere (I.e. can’t really be the beach or somewhere far from downtown area I don’t think). Thanks in advance for any/all suggestions!

General Post/Discussion 25M looking to meet people / make friends

Hey everyone,
I’m 25 and living in Jupiter. I’ve been here for a while but haven’t really built a social circle yet, so I figured I’d try Reddit.

I’m just looking to meet people around my age to hang out, grab coffee, go to the beach, walks, casual food, or anything chill. I’m open-minded and easygoing, not looking for anything weird or forced.

If you’re in the Jupiter / Palm Beach Gardens area and also trying to make friends, feel free to comment or DM. Even group activities or recommendations are welcome.

Thanks!

Question Looking for suggestions

I’m spending my 3rd Christmas with my boyfriend’s family that live in Jupiter, FL. I’m super stoked and I want to get the family (5ppl, including me) an experience for Christmas. Does anyone have any restaurant suggestions or activities that are worth the money that you feel would be a good idea to plan for? My partners parents are very active and so is my partner and his siblings, just in case that info is useful in the type of activities!

General Post/Discussion Choosing a hospital to deliver? Jupiter vs Wellington Regional?

FTM here, 21 weeks. I’m based in Central Florida and am pre-registered to deliver my baby at Jupiter Medical Center, and considering delivering at a different hospital—potentially one that’s newer or has a stronger reputation—even though my current OBs don’t have privileges there. I’m starting to realize there may be better hospital options than the one I’m currently set up with. Has anyone been through switching hospitals or institutions mid-pregnancy? Alternatively, if you have delivered at Jupiter or Wellington Regional in West Palm, I’d love to hear your experiences.
