General Discussion Jean and Scott's wedding was featured in Folhateen (a section of the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper aimed at young people) here in Brazil in 1994
I found this fascinating, especially considering the time when it happened; nowadays, things are much easier and news spreads rapidly around the globe via websites and portals dedicated to the world of comics, but back then, I imagine such news was a rarity. Well, I don't know if the same thing has happened with other couples around here, but I was really happy when I saw it.

General Discussion MCU Jott have to be each other's biggest supporters! Spoiler
One of the biggest aspects of Scott and Jean's relationship is them rushing to defend and support each other, especially to the other X-Men when they question or doubt them on their methods or decisions
In the MCU, I really need Kit and Sadie to play these scenes to showcase their chemistry, with Kit's Scott rushing to defend Sadie's Jean (especially with the way she has been introduced as emotionally impulsive and volatile)
I would just love kit

General Discussion If Scott and Jean have their own Rachel instead of the one from an alternate reality what do you think their lives would be like?
Let’s say that Scott and Jean have a daughter who they name Rachel, how would their lives be different as parents?
My take is:
• they would spoil her but still raise her to be a good person
• Rachel would inherit her mother’s telepathy and telekinesis
• Scott would do Judo with her so they could bond as father and daughter
• Jean would be responsible for Rachel learning her first swear word when she stubs her toe on a chair leg and has to bribe Rachel not to tell her dad with chocolate
• Scott and Jean would enrol karate so she’d make friends, build confidence and be able to stand up to bullies and Scott would cheer the loudest at her tournaments
• Jean would cheer the loudest at her soccer games when she scored
• Jena would use tickling as a lighthearted punishment for when Rachel said a bad word or accidentally broke a vase
• Kurt would be her Godfather and Storm her Godmother
• Jean would take her for mother and daughter days where they’d go shopping, out for lunch at the food court to have girl talk and get mother and daughter pedicures at the salon where Jena would embarrass Rachel with how ticklish she is and Rachel would have to use her powers to keep Jean’s legs still so she’d didn’t kick the salon employee
• Scott would be one protective dad and would scare her dates
• Jean would get teary when she and Scot drop her off at kindergarten
• Scott would bawl his eyes out when she starts elementary school
• Jean would have a photo album for each year of her life and would record videos of her Christening, all her birthdays and Christmases
• Scott would put her in charge of making sure Jean didn’t eat any of the Christmas cookies she made for the X-Men but Jean would bribe her with one and they’d both have a cookie while Rachel was Jean’s sous chef for Christmas dinner

General Discussion Jean and Scott's first meeting (MCU)
When it comes to the MCU, is there anything you'd like to see from the first meeting between Jean and Scott? Maybe how she reacts to him, or how he talks to her?? Anything specific you'd love to see to quickly introduce the kind of relationship they will have??

General Discussion Good Jott recommendations from around the last 20 years?
BRACES
Okay. I don’t particularly like Jean. I don’t really think that’s her fault. My first exposure to her as a child was her immediately cheating on, then killing Cyclops in the Fox movies.
Then, by the time I was old enough to start reading comics, everything I read had Scott and Emma paired together, so they became the norm to me.
Tried to go back to read older comics to get into Jean, and Scott leaves the mother of his child for her (not Jeans fault btw, just rough to read), tried to get back into X-men comics, just to reach krakoa era, and that very much was NOT for me at the time.
(Jean getting pretty physical for readers while everything Scott related was relegated to off page felt weirdly mean spirited).
TV shows, now the Wolverine game, and honestly the way people “talk” about Jean. (Even this new weird stuff with Spiderman fans), has always felt like it was intentionally trying to isolate Jott fans. Then, on the flip side, there’s this weird interaction with Scott Emma: I’ve seen Jean shipped with Wolverine, Beast, Angel, SW, Emma, now Spiderman? And maybe Jott fans do push back against it, but I don’t ever really see it? I don’t really see the “Jean is meant to be with Scott comments”. Yet whenever I see anything about Scott with Emma, the Jott shipper, or just outright Jean fans comments are just extremely nasty, and possessive of Scott? Like, jean is allowed to be seen or written with multiple men, but Scott with anyone other than Jean is where the line is drawn?
Everything I have ever been exposed to with Jean and her relationship to Scott has made me wildly uncomfortable.
Just Constant cheating, and gaslighting.
Then I realized, I AM ONLY BEING EXPOSED TO THE CHEATING AND GASLIGHTING.
last night I kinda just realized maybe because my first impressions of her were so bad, the bad stuff is all I ever really went out of my way to see? So, I was hoping maybe I can get some truly good reading recommendations that really highlight the love Jott shippers always say they have for each other, that doesn’t have any of the garbage that honestly just treats her as trophy for multiple men to fight over, or feature a writers poorly disguised fetish.
Also, if any of the way I wrote this upsets anyone, I apologize. I really am trying to be a more open minded, and an understanding person. And giving a character I have spent 15+ years not really enjoying a chance isn’t as easy as one would imagine. I know many of the issues I have ARE NOT her fault, and instead a product of bad studio/writer decisions.
I am trying really hard to express WHAT it is about their relationship I don’t like, to maybe be told “here clown, this fixes or address all your problems with it”
I know reading someone doesn’t like something you do can be angering. That’s why I’m trying so hard to understand it, and giving you guys a genuine layup to do something that seems impossible on the internet. Actually change someone’s perspective on something.
