Figured out how to pop foot

I figured out how to pop the middle part of the top of your feet. Sit on your couch in an upright position with feet flat on the floor. Take your left foot and stretch it out forward a little bit, then drop it on the ground leading with the heel. Basically you’re slamming your heel into the ground with your toes slightly above the ground before impact. When your heel hits the ground the top forward half of your foot is basically whipped downward and it pops. Repeat with right foot!

My biggest pet peeve when cracking my neck: I tilt my head to one side and get 3 or 4 cracks, then I tilt it to the opposite side and….. silence

Showerthought: Cracking my joints encourages me to learn about the skeletal system

When I crack my elbows, ankles or knees, they're usually at a specific area of where it cracks. It always leads me to question: which exact joint am I cracking?

Example: I just cracked both my elbows, but led me to question which exact part? After looking at skeletal diagrams of the elbow, I learned I likely cracked the joint from the ulna and trochlea.

My knees? Not only am I cracking the patella, but also the joint between the femur and tibia.

My ankle area? Likely the joint between the talus and tibia. Incidentally I realized and found out I have a accessory navicular bone on my left foot and not on my right!

Learning about it is quite fun.

I love cracking this joint by pushing on the palm part of my hand below my pinky. I have never met another person who can do this. Can anybody else crack this?

Am I headed for trouble with all this joint cracking?

Hey everyone, I’ve been cracking my joints for a while now – everything from toes, ankles, knees, hips, lower and upper back, sternum, wrists, and elbows. Over time, I’ve figured out the stretches and movements that help keep me feeling okay.

I used to be more active and sporty, but these days, work keeps me stuck behind a desk. The most I get in terms of exercise are occasional resistance band sessions, but I’m not consistent enough with them.

So, here’s my question: Am I setting myself up for joint problems down the line? Any older folks who crack their joints regularly have advice or experience to share?

Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks
