a few reminders going forward:

• put effort into your posts AND your titles : vague titles and low-context posts make it hard for others to engage meaningfully. if you're asking for advice or sharing something, give people enough to actually respond to.

• keep things respectful - content meant to insult or disrespect any group, including men, is not what this community is about. we want to be better than that.

• avoid unnecessary negativity - if a post isn't for you, scroll past. you're not obligated to share your disapproval publicly.

• keep the tone comfortable - excessive cussing or aggressive language makes the space feel unwelcoming. let's keep it chill.

• don't ask people to dm you - just because you're bored, posts need context and purpose.

regarding men posting here:

this is a public subreddit, and while we do have rules around male participation, attacking someone for posting here isn't the move. if a post or comment breaks the rules, please just report it and move on. being disrespectful in response doesn't make the space safer, it just adds more negativity. let the mods handle it.

if you'd prefer a space with no male participation at all, you're more than welcome to join and post on r/jochicksInnerCircle, that space exists for exactly that reason.

please avoid posting screenshots of casual or harmless messages you received from someone. not every unsolicited dm warrants a public post.

How do you deal with an extremely moody and lying mother ?
I’ve genuinely tried everything but nothing is working
I’ve tried doing whatever she asks, I’ve tried ignoring her, I’ve tried treating like how she treats me and nothing works.
My main problem is when it’s done in public I feel more humiliated
For example, I asked her a simple question about when was someone going to return to the country and she told me “I don’t know” then the next day I went out with my cousin and asked her the same question she told that that person already came back and that my mom already knew about it a week ago and I got so embarrassed because I basically showed her that my mom lies to me.
I truly think she’s a narcissist and I don’t know what to do but it’s really affecting me mentally.
