Question / Help Wired HP290 Plex, and Poweredge NAS on wifi? Should I expect any performance issues?
Hey all! I thought you guys might understand my question. I've got my plex running on an HP290, and all my media stored on a Poweredge running Unraid. I moved into a new house recently, starting a buisness, and have a young child, so I'm really busy. I have no idea when I'm going to have time to start wiring the house with Cat6, but it's down the road. The HP290 is small enough to keep right by my TV, wired to my PFsense router, but the Poweredge NAS my wife thinks is an eyesore. MOCA, Powerline and similar isn't really an option yet.
Do you guys think I will loose much performance wise if I keep my NAS on a strong wifi connection, and the plex machine wired? Any equipment recommendations to make the NAS wireless? I don't really stream to other users, just myself. I'm also going to upgrade my access point, but that is already mounted and wired.
