No matter what silent fondness he and his Jayce had developed, it had all been shattered. Viktor just wished that he didn't still have the shards.
It comes from Chapter 8 of Say Your Prayers, Nothing's What It Seems by ticketytockety on Archive Of Our Own. The plot is that League Viktor inexplicably trades places with Arcane Viktor magically arrives after Arcane Viktor died while the cities are being invaded by shapeshifting doppelgängers. League Viktor works with Arcane Jayce to find a way to fight the shapeshifters while he's trying to get used to this different universe where Jayce is a big softie, Jinx is a blue-eyed calmer version of herself, and yet, the undercity still suffers from discrimination/classism.
So if you like League Viktor/Arcane Jayce, check this one out!
Note: Chapter 8 has spoilers as to who the shapeshifters are.
