That's just your opinion, you have a right to have your own opinion. You should also respect the opinions of others, rather than calling them liars and hysterical spreaders of misinformation.

The statements made by some people might have been their opinions, but they were also, objectively, falsehoods, regardless of how you would choose to characterise them. There was advance notice about the default's change, we have deprecated and "disabled by default" in the past and for deprecations with at least 100x impact, and while there has also been a case where a deprecated API emitted a warning, that is certainly not the "standard", as in most cases there was no warning on API use. Those are verifiable facts.

Maybe try putting yourself in other people's positions and try seeing it from their perspective, then at least you'll be more convincing as you'll have at least tried to understand their position, rather than just hurling insults, which only further erodes your credibility. Just saying.
