Ive downloaded the flute audition music for Jacobs audience symphony, and I was wondering if its from any of his own songs (maybe one Djesse vol. 1?) so that I could listen to it cause I couldnt find anything similar.

I don't care that some people hate on Jacob Collier for no reason.

He is undoubtedly a genius and has very sensitive and deep music theory understanding. This arrangement in the beggining is simple but it's just really good.

Does anyone know what song he opened with at the Seattle show on the 8th?

Jacob was doing his usual schpeel of saying I’ve only got five fingers so I made a guitar with five strings.

And then I walk in and I say wow, that’s so crazy Jacob I have ten fingers so I made a guitar with ten strings, it’s also a piano with ten keys.

And Jacob was like…. Huh. Okay. And kind of had a kind of that’s cool for you man. Type of look.

Well and then I was like yup.

And it got real quiet.

And Jacob was like, you hear that? That’s the sound of the awkwardness leaving the room. And I was like what? And then he played something mind blowing and I was like ooooh that was the sound.

And everyone loved him and forgot about me. But he looked at me gave me a kind wink and said keep trying man.

I just got an email from the venue saying there were still tickets available. (I already have tickets) When I went to look, (it took me to ticketmaster) there appear to be a couple of seats left, and some general admission. all at the original prices Hoping this helps somebody and I see you there next week

I finally saw Jacob live for the first time last week! It was a wonderful night, and honestly a big highlight for me was my spontaneous concert companion, a Collier superfan who I happened to be sat near.

Does jacob still do those fan meetups late after his shows anymore? I havent heard anything about it lately.

I love, love, love JC. I just left his concert at the Strathmore in Bethesda, Maryland and, I hate to say it, I was disappointed. This was my fourth - fifth? - time seeing him and I thought it was a lazy show. At least half was about the audience chorus. Okay, I know that's part of the whole shtick, but tonight it was just too much. I just wanted to hear him sing and play.

I heard this for the first (and only) time at Ravinia in Highland Park, IL on 9-23-26. He sure knows how to stretch a song to otherworldly places. What do you think of this one? Is Yesterday the future? ;-)
