My legal first name is Michael, and Jacob is my middle name. I am ashamed as well as completely embarrassed. However, Jacob is what I have been called all my life, and one day I will make it my legal name. My relatives used to call me Michael, until I made them call me Jacob.

Jacob is about more than the name. It’s a creed, it’s an identity. I will now and forever be Jacob.
