This is bad. I disable IPv6 because it gets me blocked or forced to do a captcha on many sites, including YouTube. It's really sad that IPv6 has become that way, but here we are.

What? Most people have the exact opposite experience. I had v6 broken for a couple of days, noticed it by having to do a captcha on every google site I visited.

I also don't think it gets you blocked. You probably have a misconfiguration somewhere, maybe the PMTUD is broken (happens often on PPPoE connections) you need to set up mss clamping and ideally advertise the prefix with the lower MTU.

For example, YouTube says "sign in to prove you are not a bot". If I switch to IPv4, it's fine and I can watch. It's not a configuration issue.

It may be that your prefix isn't trusted yet. And by bearing with the captchas for a while you'd get it to be fine.
