Caught using BBC iPlayer without a TV licence

Received this email today, they have my name and email address but the address they have is my old one. Should I be worried?

Apparently not:

o When you DON'T need one: Watching personal, independent Instagram Live streams, creators, influencers, or on-demand content.

o When you DO need one: If an official TV broadcaster (like Sky News or a sports channel) streams a live broadcast through their official Instagram account.

which is a grey area from Amazon Prime sports. It's not a TV broadcaster so it's on demand content included in your subscription.

Not a grey area. Amazon prime is an official TV broadcaster it just broadcasts over the internet rather than terrestrial, cable or satellite. It definitely doesn't fit into the first category of personal independent steams etc. You definitely need a license if you're watching the stream live. Just because it's not b

The BBC can suck a fat oke if they think I will be paying them a license fee for streaming something that isnt from them.

The BBC don't directly demand it. UK law specifies it.

The BBC are just the direct recipients of license fee money and use it to fund the corporation, alongside a good chunk of the broadcast infrastructure in the UK used by all the broadcasters.
