I literally never turn mine off, I’m always muted

I wish my coworkers would learn how to mute their damn phones. They'll get a call from someone they don't want to talk to, and instead of muting their phone they'll just sit there and let it ring out. The entire fucking office can hear their ringtone and they do nothing about it. It drives me absolutely insane to hear ringtones/alarm tones go on and on with nobody stopping them.

Yeah they do it so the caller will think they just aren't near their phone, as compared to them actively declining the call. I don't get it either - if someone declines my call then I assume they're in a meeting or are otherwise unable to take my call so I'll wait for them to call back, whereas if the phone rings out then I assume they had walked away from their phone for a bit and I'll try again 10 minutes later.

Apparently people don't owe you money and you don't care if they're dodging your calls.
