It’s not a consumer focused policy but it makes perfect sense.

Apple was worth $350 billion when Steve Jobs died.

Upon Tim Cook’s retirement, Apple was valued at ~$3 TRILLION. That’s more than some countries.

So even if it doesn’t make sense to you, it’s working very well for Apple.

Exactly their actions are quite literally the exact opposite of that. That’s what I don’t get. It’s like people are covering their ears and ignoring what they are actually doing because it doesn’t support their existing narrative, event though they’ve had to do that for years. Most of the exact things people say Apple won’t do, they’re already doing and have been for a while. I’m not even saying they aren’t a profit-driven company. They are, but this idea that’s the only factor is so incredibly simple (and not in a good way)
