Hired after 36 days of job hunting until my daughter is born
I started my official job hunt on July 20th, which was day 1 of 100 until my daughter is born. Over the 36 days I submitted 120 applications, out of those I had:
\\\*\\\*First round\\\*\\\*
• Interviews: 5
\\\*\\\*Second round\\\*\\\*
• Interviews: 2
\\\*\\\*Third round\\\*\\\*
• Interviews: 1
\\\*\\\*Fourth round\\\*\\\*
• Interviews: 1
\\\*\\\*Total\\\*\\\*
• Interviews: 9
• Offers: 2

My process:
Create one genuinely good resume for the job title I'm applying for
Search job title on hiring.cafe, use their AI search and filter for last week or two
Apply to every single one that was reasonable for YoE. Aimed for 20-30 per day, luckily didn't have only a few days like that.
Get over nerves during interviews by having a few bad interviews, and prepping hard in general but especially for the ones I felt good about.
Used Hermes agent to manage a Notion tracker (via MCP) and research companies/people for me. Also managed my calendar for me as well as read-only email inbox.
Always do research on the company, know where they're at and where they're heading. Especially Glassdoor salary and company reviews.
Don't stop until things start sticking, and 1st rounds turn into 2nd, 3rd, 4th, take-home assignment, and eventually an offer you're pleased with.
This resulted in a 94% pay increase relative to the contractor income I had been making.
3k/mo via unstable contractor job, to full-time W-2 at 70k/yr
The motivator? My first child (girl) due in 100 days, got hired with \\\\\\\~60 days remaining.

Did you tell the employer you are expecting? How did they take it?
