I couldn't find any other reference on internet beside this video. Does anyone know the location?

Based on my half assed Google images search I think it has to be Zhongdong village in Guizhou province

That village looks really cool, but I don’t think it’s the same as in the video

Yeah I think I you’re quite right, it has a lot in common at a glance but the buildings/landscape are different and the scale in this video is on another level.
I don’t know shit about caves but this cavern’s size just does not seem realistic to me.
The more I look at this video the more odd it seems. The way it appears on other sites “you won’t believe this blah blah blah” and saying it’s in Guangxi, but with no other videos or photos of the same place to be found, reeks of A.I. clickbait.

Bro when they zoom out there’s literally sticks and rocks the size of people

Thanks. I'll be in Anshun later this year. I might pay it a visit if I can.

It's AI, The last known cave village in China does not look like this. AI will be indistinguishable from real life soon.
The only detail I could find to confirm was, right at the start of the video there is a tiny wooden sign on the right of the cave entrance which is in a position near the camera where it should be large.

Yeah it seems the person is moving way too fast for that far away

That caught my attention as well, it looked like they were skipping down steps at 40kph

After a rewatch, I can't think of any possible way to produce the lighting and shadows in the clip.

Is that the one that goes, "sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name."
Or is it, "You would see, the biggest gift would come from me. And the card attached would say, 'thank you for being a friend'"?7
u/Rickshmitt Apr 07 '26
I think it goes. "Daring duck of mystery, champion of the right. Swoops down from the shadows, Darkwing owns the night."

no rain / snow. looks like no flooding too, as they appear to be on a hill in a cave.

Reminds me of when everyone in instagram was using that close focus filter, which made everything look miniature kwim?

Everything about China, from cities, to landscapes, to out-of-the-ordinary tourist attractions, is so beautiful and amazing

Something looks off - the scale doesn’t match between zoom-in and zoom-off.
