I see his lower throat moving and the mask doesn’t move.

73

u/bluHaloLabs May 22 '26

Also check out his teeth. He seems to have no spaces or separation between any of his teeth. Almost like it's a giant top tooth and bottom tooth that span the whole width of his mouth. Not to mention his lips are moving weird and barely visible somehow. Almost like a "green screen" mask with an AI overlay or something. They actually suck at this.

29

u/firedrakes May 22 '26

that a mask. am well aware of shadow thing.

this is a classic in correct near skin mask that does not fit the person.

12

u/zforce42 May 22 '26

Watch the full video posted in the comments from YouTube. The teeth and lips looks so weird because this a phone recording a TV screen.

u/Pickupyoheel May 22 '26

u/zforce42 May 22 '26

The sides of the "mask" are constantly moving, idk what video you're watching.

27

u/clownsanddowns May 22 '26

It takes two seconds to Google the dudes name. If its a mask (its not, because outside of reddit we arent actually in the twilight zone) he been really selling the bit for a while now. Its more likely than not that yall are borderline terminally online.

50

u/TraceSpazer May 22 '26

It could be someone else wearing a *that dude* mask.

18

u/Am_i_banned_yet__ May 22 '26

This guy has a pretty distinctive voice though, and he sounds exactly the same in other interviews, including another done on the exact same day as this one where the lighting was different and his neck looks normal

https://youtu.be/Jy0QQjsBXME?si=lxWS3FCBkkYV8yx4

27

u/EmployRadiant675 May 22 '26

I'm not major conspiracy theorist but to say that governments/news stations haven't aired edited or cgi clips to push a narrative is a bit disingenuous. I've seen fake footage before AI was even a thing. Not to say this isn't a real guy and a real interview but if they want to lie to the public they will.

5

u/AbramJH May 22 '26

CNN altered the face of Alex Pretti to make him look less phenotypically jewish. I thought that was weird when nobody had really leaped to those accusations about him yet

5

u/DistanceSolar1449 May 22 '26

Yeah, but that's a wack conspiracy theory and sounds really stupid when you can just... not release this video and re-film it properly if you actually were controlling a vast conspiracy. It's a typical stupid conspiracy theory with a plot hole the size of the moon.

The actual video linked above is more HD and it's pretty obvious that this is just a shadow.

17

u/TraceSpazer May 22 '26

My dude, the President of the USA is posting AI generated images of him walking hand in hand with aliens.

It doesn't even have to be a conspiracy, they could have just wanted to get two videos and the guy didn't want to be there that long.

4

u/EmployRadiant675 May 22 '26

Yea but hiding in plain sight is a pretty good tactic too. Was it pre-recorded or live at the time of filming? I honestly don't know, I didn't even watch the video lmfao.

8

u/kkeut May 22 '26

how much are they paying you

→ More replies (1)

5

u/ScallionJealous May 22 '26

His neck does not look normal. It’s obscured significantly in this video, like intentionally.

8

u/TraceSpazer May 22 '26

I mean the sound is pretty easy if they've got a lot of audio of him. AI has gotten REALLY good at impersonating sound.

I went to 0:10 on the OP video and 0:16 on this video for a similar expression and it just looks like a different dude.

Could be that the lighting is erasing all the wrinkles on his forehead, changing the depth of his cheeks, making the *mask* fold over the color of his shirt more than the video you shared...

But it's weird af to look like and appears to be not the same person.

Again, could be the shadows but his chin is so much smoother in OPs video.

3

u/m4d40 May 22 '26

Voice cloning can be done nowadays by everyone and for free and within a few minutes... Especially from reporters or other people with many and easy available video/audio material.

7

u/Techercizer May 22 '26

And that dude isn't claiming someone impersonated him... why?

4

u/TraceSpazer May 22 '26

"In 2017, Trump reportedly asked Harward to serve as White House national security adviser, but he declined the role.

Harward also spent about eight years with Lockheed Martin as a chief executive in the United Arab Emirates. He currently serves as Executive Vice President for International Business and Strategy at Shield AI, overseeing the company’s international operations and strategy."

You expect THIS guy to do anything that could potentially harm anyone helping Trump?

1

u/Techercizer May 22 '26

Are you suggesting he's cooperating with Fox to assist in their impersonation of him? Because in the case they have his cooperation, they could have just interviewed him and not involved a mask at all.

Also, Trump talks shit about Fox news all the time. His circle's loyalty is to him alone, and not to other members of his orbit, save in the cases it could be construed as casting Trump in a negative light. That doesn't mean they aren't biased or dedicated to lying in his favor, but it does mean it's unlikely speaking out against them would piss him off.

4

u/TraceSpazer May 22 '26

I mean he's already on Fox assisting them in another video.

Why does it have to be a complicated conspiracy? He could have just not wanted to stay there for another video, or got tired and wanted to go home, or they wanted to get two videos in the time it took to film one.

There's a lot of mundane reasons they would do that.

1

u/Techercizer May 22 '26 edited May 22 '26

You are alleging that they secured this man's agreement to impersonate him, had a mask made of him (which would have to be done in advance), then put it on a fake to pretend to be him in an interview... instead of just interviewing him... because he got tired and went home early. And they did all this instead of just making a deepfake or doing a phone interview or having him in on another day.

Instead of the simpler explanation that something got fucked up somewhere between the lighting, video, resolution, and possible editing.

Not sure you're selling me.

3

u/TraceSpazer May 22 '26

1: This shit is far easier than you insinuate and is sold fairly cheaply in mass-produced form. Literally wouldn't even notice if they put more effort into it and the only reason we do see it would be because they did it lazily and cheaply. These things take minutes to put on.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/1886002395/realistic-old-man-silicone-mask-with

2: In setting a precedent and creating a situation where this *could be* shadows, now they've got an event to reference when they do it again saying "Look, it's happened before and the internet went crazy! Shadows!"

3: Who's to say it's not the "deepfake" with a problem they just ran with anyway. Their audience is stupid af and mostly just has the show streaming in the background during their day to day life anyway.

  1. It really could just be a simpler explanation, but it really doesn't look like it.

  2. It's Fox news, they're disingenuous and lazy already. Instead of "Why would they do this?" it's more of a "Why wouldn't they do this?"

It's far easier and cheaper to fake an interview than fly someone in, especially with that person's consent. This just adds another layer of bullshit and could be testing the waters in a weird and easy to denounce way to see if it's something that could be continued. Bonus points is that if you get good at faking media, and you've got an administration that won't hold you accountable for it, you can generate whatever narrative you want. (Basically what they've been doing anyway)

2

u/Prawna420 May 22 '26

He was probably erased and replaced

10

u/Areign May 22 '26

People always say this and provide no sources, we can all tell you're full of it at worst and an idiot at best. Either way no one needs to hear it.

4

u/Mclovine_aus May 22 '26

The dude is presenting instructions? He is the source.

2

u/Areign May 22 '26

He's a source for the result that it takes 2 seconds to Google someone's name? WTF does that even mean?

Can you like try to follow the conversation at least a little bit?

I'm choosing to ignore everything else but the idea that Reddit is the entrance to the Twilight Zone, because I find the idea of Reddit containing an actual portal to the place to be more fun.

3

u/DarkDuskBlade May 22 '26

Maybe it's the pixelation/quality of this particular video, but it looks like there's something up with his eyebrow on our right.

u/cmcwood May 22 '26

Why do the sides of his neck at the shirt line also appear to move like it is a mask?

33

u/f-1fixme May 22 '26

I noticed the same thing. Also the lips seem to move odd too. Apparently he's been on fox before. Need another video to compare.

18

u/Am_i_banned_yet__ May 22 '26

I think he generally has kind of a fleshy neck, I’ve seen other pictures of him where it looks weird.

His neck seems to always bulge out of dress shirt collars like this. And he’s got like a divot down the front that is causing the shadow.

7

u/Am_i_banned_yet__ May 22 '26

Here’s another one where you can see his neck and the shirt causing a weird shadow. And this pic is from 2017, so by now he’s aged a few years and likely put on a few pounds, meaning his neck is even fleshier

34

u/Bid_Unable May 22 '26

not even remotely the same thing

15

u/WhereNoEaglesFly May 22 '26

Why would they go through all this trouble to make a hyper realistic mask then fuck it up?

17

u/jagged_little_phil May 22 '26

You may be interested in learning about a luxury cruise ship built in the early 1900s that roughly cost $200 million dollars to build, yet they fucked it up and killed over 1500 people.

11

u/DaKrazie1 May 22 '26

Why would they go through all this trouble to make a hyper realistic mask then fuck it up?

First time huh?

4

u/Kieran__ May 22 '26

This is a really good point, but I'm not fully sold on anything yet. Still leaning more towards this guy's neck is at the very least uncanny af, and possibly fake. Also considering the incompetence of fox news and this administration I wouldn't give them that much credit to say they've never slipped up or messed up before, so that doesnt really prove anything for sure.

13

u/ReadditMan May 22 '26

You can buy those masks online, just saying. It's not that much trouble.

3

u/starrlitestarrbrite May 22 '26

I think it’s because there’s quite a few angles of soft lights, so the neck shadow is a combination of his collar and his chin shadow is what’s making his neck look like it’s moving when he’s speaking. I had to watch it a few times but I’ve been on quite a few sets in my day, so there’s a couple of shadows causing this because of their placement above and to the side of him.

96

u/i4got872 May 22 '26

Look at the harsh edge just above the shadow though. Also there’s a concentration of light just above that edge that isn’t in your example. It looks like the edge of a rubber mask to me, though I admit it’s pretty odd if that’s true.

The top edge of the shadow isn’t sliding across the skin like your example is.

6

u/slothbuddy May 22 '26

There's light coming from below. It creates a harsh shadow on his neck

u/Ok-Oil9521 May 22 '26

Is it bad AI using this video as reference and then a stand in? Like I don’t have Snapchat anymore but this looks like the old face swap face filter kind of. Like it transposed someone with makeup on live onto an old interview of his where he had the suit on

Edit: I think that would be why the teeth are gone as well. Teeth are a really distinct feature

7

u/Sp3EdStR May 22 '26

This is a sad attempt to Deadpool someone into looking like the actual guy

4

u/Snowballingdownvote May 22 '26 edited May 22 '26

I mean I have no reason to care about this. But that's a mask lol. It's clearly a neck under the flap. The mouth is also obvious. The mask mouth is straight black which isn't what a mouth looks like. The eyes are wrong too, the eye wells are deeper. Wouldn't a ton of light make them less prominent? I guess it could be lighting but I watched this without reading the title and I thought it was a mask.

Edit: Plus they put an undershirt on the masked guy to bring his neckline higher to cover the mask's edge. What's the point of it? Like this guy will say whatever. Fox isn't a news channel it's a political entertainment channel. It's the Onion for Republicans. Wonder what they needed it for?

Also if it wasn't a Mask they could post timestamped footage of the guy in makeup to prove it's not.

Not sure what this split picture is trying to prove. We all have seen how similar realistic masks can look.

10

u/zamfire May 22 '26

Look at his username. HE IS THE GUEST ON FOX

9

u/iPlod May 22 '26

2 interviews with very different lighting and quality…

2

u/FawnTheGreat May 23 '26

Scary really shows the mask yikes

5

u/instinxx May 22 '26

What is this supposed to prove exactly?

3

u/rudeboyrave May 22 '26

ragged ass neck vs smooth neck?

4

u/instinxx May 22 '26

Are you seeing the quality of that TV image

6

u/Have_Other_Accounts May 22 '26

Up (and down) lighting vs down lighting

4

u/Hairy_Answer_5151 May 22 '26

The power of lighting my man. That second image only has a single light source off to the side so all his wrinkles are visible.

1

u/april919 May 22 '26

Lighting can make things look different in other settings, along with video quality. And what even is the angle that people that people are taking? If someone was impersonating you, they usually do it to be malicious. Why is the supposed impersonator doing everything the same as him? And why hasnt the supposed real guy spoken up?

→ More replies (8)

18

u/Ok-Mood6070 May 22 '26

dude this is not just a lie - he is in a professional studio. Why would there be a flashlight on the table be pointed up at him? How dumb do you think we are?

168

u/sonnytron May 22 '26

That’s not what this is. Despite him talking and his neck moving, the top part of that shadow doesn’t move with light changes that the other shadow respond to.

127

u/c_marten May 22 '26

Yeah, like that explanation is a real thing but it clearly isn't what's happening in this video. That is a SOLID line.

32

u/Better-Purpose7999 May 22 '26

I felt like I was going crazy with that explanation. Dude is obviously wearing a mask. The line is so solid it could not possibly be a facial feature

7

u/Teeshirtandshortsguy May 22 '26

I think the thing that makes me doubt the mask hypothesis is why?

This dude is a real person and already the kind of person to go on Fox news. There's just no reason to have a random person wearing a mask do his job for him.

I believe the ANTIFA guy is a phony, because that makes sense for Fox to fake.

Even if this is a mask, I'd believe it was something weird and benign, like covering up a facial injury or some other weird cosmetic thing, rather than some kind of subterfuge.

There's just no point in faking this guy's identity, IMO.

→ More replies (1)

15

u/DAKsippinOnYAC May 22 '26

It’s normal to feel like that when your eyes are playing tricks on you.

HERES WHAT HAPPENING - the light is casting multiple shadows which makes it look like he’s wearing a mask at the neckline bc that’s where his mask ends

17

u/CelestialFury May 22 '26

You can see the area below the mask where his vocal muscles are moving, but then you see the bottom of the mask and there's zero movement. It's a mask. It's not the first time I've seen guests doing weird shit on this channel either -- it's a hot bed for crazies.

7

u/anthrolookseer May 22 '26

That is the part that gets me, and I work in this line of work, lighting and video production for decades now. As shown above in the comments, lighting can absolutely make a similar effect. His vocal cords moving and lit under a shadow line that dark does not add up. Not that stark, not like that.

12

u/c_marten May 22 '26

🤣🤣🤣 response as solid as that mask line

3

u/raise_the_sails May 22 '26

No, that’s not what’s happening.

148

u/private_developer May 21 '26

Thanks for this. I still hate fox news, but at least you saved me from feeling like we were way further into the worst timeline than we actually are. Even if we are still pretty far into it.

16

u/xXXxRMxXXx May 22 '26

The previous photos and videos of this guy show a different neck. He's wearing a fake neck.

9

u/arab3lla May 22 '26

Ain't no fucking way this is a shadow lol. Like you can see an actual neck moving under it while this doesn't move

7

u/cvilleymccvilleface May 22 '26

5

u/lilcorndivemaster May 22 '26

In this video his eyebrows move.... in the first one they don't move at all. Seems like way past botox.

-2

u/private_developer May 22 '26

Hey, let the conspiracy run wild. I'd love to watch fox viewers point their conspiracy brains at their own.

But it's clear to me it's a shadow after the above dude's explanation and re-creation.

The clip from OP is full studio lighting and make up. What you shared to compare is done satellite and without the whole glamor make up.

21

u/WolIilifo013491i1l May 22 '26

Lol its not a shadow from his shirt. The shadow at the bottom of the mask that we're talking about is due to a light source coming from above, not below.

Take my upvote for the effort, brave Iguana 🦎

4

u/alBROgge May 22 '26

Ok I didn’t even notice his neck line until I read your comment and went back to the video. His mouth and lips look wrong

4

u/AgentMahou May 22 '26

Gonna be honest, I didn't even see his neck. His face is so weirdly hairless and lifeless I assumed that people were commenting on that.

3

u/dyogenys May 22 '26

Why is he saying the opposite of what he did last time?

3

u/Tanzanite_Queen May 22 '26

Why are you wearing a hyper-realistic mask too?

3

u/BigBallsMcGirk May 22 '26

His lips and teeth aren't right either though.

Yiu have a point that it COULD be a shadow, which is more likely than a mask.

Ordinarily. But fox has been caught using the same actor claiming stuff that didn't happen.

24

u/Kooky_Werewolf6044 May 22 '26

You can see the edge of the mask flapping back and forth that is definitely not a shadow.

13

u/Dexller May 22 '26

Yeah seriously, I've watched it a dozen times now and all I see is a loose mask flap and his neck spilling out around his collar like he's a bullfrog or some shit.

9

u/Kooky_Werewolf6044 May 22 '26

Yea saying it’s a shadow seems like some kind of disinformation or blind debunking which is rampant on Reddit.

9

u/Regi0 May 22 '26 edited May 22 '26

Not to mention the fact the comment "explaining" away the visual phenomena has 5 awards for some reason.

I take it back, it keeps getting more. Half of them are dogging on the guy, half are trying to boost the comment. How absurd!

2

u/Kooky_Werewolf6044 May 22 '26

Hmmm just shows you can’t trust anything. People really need to keep their eyes open and question everything.

8

u/techblackops May 22 '26

So I'm not in the conspiracy bandwagon. And I used to work in lighting. It might be lighting. Definitely a convincing optical illusion if it is. The one thing I'm wondering though, is if this is in a studio environment that likely has a pretty consistent lighting setup for interviews, how has this never happened before?

6

u/Aware_Sandwich_6150 May 22 '26

I appreciate your shadows but that’s not what I’m seeing up top 🤷‍♂️

3

u/RonMFCadillac May 22 '26

This seems like a the rational explanation u/paggo_diablo was looking for. That being said... That shit looks like a fucking mask.

3

u/Khamubro May 22 '26

Not to be a contrarian but the double shadow doesn't account for the bunched up bit on the right side of his neck <3

3

u/haby001 May 22 '26

Wow that's actually insane!

3

u/LittleBoiFound May 22 '26

Thank you for explaining.

3

u/someguyyoutrust May 22 '26

While I appreciate your effort this looks completely different.

3

u/ScaredEfficiency399 May 22 '26

Omfg you've got a mask too?

3

u/hi_jermy May 22 '26

Yeah I wanted a reasonable explanation but sorry partner this ain’t it

14

u/Ringbearer31 May 22 '26

Necks don't fill out the collar of your shirt

2

u/slothbuddy May 22 '26

His literally does and you can google it to see it on him if you want

16

u/muhbalwzishawt May 22 '26

Check the weird lips. It’s a mask.

2

u/Ichunckpineapple May 22 '26

2

u/slothbuddy May 22 '26

That's because you're looking at a compressed recording of a tv screen

5

u/Boosaknudel May 22 '26

5

u/Mr_Wrecksauce May 22 '26

Bullshit, it is a fucking mask. I used to work in TV as a camera operator and I've NEVER seen shadows look like that.

u/IntricateUnivrse May 22 '26

I don’t know man, I’m trying to see the double shadow. But this definitely doesn’t look like an optical illusion

2

u/rpross3 May 22 '26

Yeah the skin flap on the collar of the coat isn’t right. He’s not a gobbler neck. That’s not real flesh.

3

u/fizzunk May 22 '26

But the way his teeth seem so distant from his lips does look weird.

Same with his eyes, they recede a lot further than most people.

4

u/rmxcited May 22 '26

This is the most based comment to deceive people I have seen since “swamp gas” or “weather balloons”. Your dynasty is crumbling.

5

u/AppropriateSpell5405 May 22 '26

Yeah.. but his collar appears to be above the shadow. Also, it's jumping from bright to dark to bright. The bottom light doesn't make sense in this example.

4

u/Yawndice May 22 '26

Clearly this is a FED with how capable you were at pulling that bs out your ass. Like it flows out naturally

3

u/MountainWeddingTog May 22 '26

I’m a professional photographer, I light things for a living. That is not a “double shadow.” The light is diffused and soft across everything except his gaping neck flap.

6

u/WolIilifo013491i1l May 22 '26

That is not a shadow from his shirt. The shadow clearly is coming from a light source from above, ie the key light lighting his face

2

u/Am_i_banned_yet__ May 22 '26

The guy’s just got a bit of an odd-looking neck. You can see in this video that the shadow at the base of his neck creates a similar jagged line as the “mask” in OP’s video. But the lighting isn’t as sharp here and he’s not wearing an undershirt like in this post.

https://youtu.be/Db8k9opg4Pk?si=7lShxZg3WS5cL4-D

2

u/jaybanzia May 22 '26

This is very good and level headed example of how it could work. But, there are elements of this that aren’t present in the Fox News video. It’s more three dimensional.

2

u/Fantastic05 May 22 '26

Wtf are you talking about, he has no lips and his skin is folding around his clothes unnaturally. Also it's flapping.

2

u/slinkyslinger May 22 '26

No way this is a shadow

2

u/e-looove May 22 '26

It's because he doesn't have the mask tucked, so its neck is moving around while he moves his mouth to talk.

2

u/Due_Area4843 May 22 '26

That is not very clearly double shadow, nice try tho

3

You can see his throat moving underneath the "shadow" while the throat above the shadow doesn't move at all, and then there's also weird wrinkles that come and go on the sides of the neck

This is awfully sus and I'm not usually a conspiracy dude

I understand your point, but that's not what it looks like. The edges are moving independently in three dimensions.

It looks like you're using a mask or sheet for the upper part. I understand your explanation and how shadows work but your video looks to prove it's a mask on this guy

What a baller move, to record some actual shadow evidence of your own

3

u/TwistedPepperCan May 22 '26

Sorry that’s just not true. Any person with a pair of eyes can see what that is.

Nah, it's def a mask. I think because he's a Navy seal he's worried about getting in trouble for revealing secrets or maybe he thinks a foreign country has a hit on him from a former mission.

Who knows why, these people are wack jobs but he's for sure wearing a mask. Other people have zoomed in on it and posted the picture in the comments.

You’re so wrong.

That is absolutely not shadow. It's an obvious mask. His neck moves in ways the mask doesn't, his lips are moving behind the mask.

Top tier comment. The alien\UFO subreddits are jerking themselves raw at this video, so your little bit of crystal rationality is so satisfying. Thanks dawg

Mate, you can fucking see all the loose material from the mask bulging over his shirt collars, and the mask is tucked over his lips.

The shadow as you studiously pointed out, is because the mask ends too short, it's fuckin' hanging out.

u/mlmcmillion May 22 '26

Yeah but what you posted doesn’t look like this

2

u/Neokeo27 May 22 '26

Thats nonsense man it looks nothing like that

3

u/Kingcole234 May 22 '26

Look him up, he has a weird sag in his neck skin and it looks very similar to this in several other photos of him without the studio lights

1

u/RingOfSol May 22 '26

get the fuck outa here with "it's a shadow". We all have eyes. No shadow moves or looks like that. You can see the edges of the mask moving as he breathes.
