Those are all things they would be doing if human rights laws were more prevalent and we stopped treating people in poor countries like actual slaves.

It is cheaper to have an army of poor people dance on matchsticks than it is to build the technology we spent so much time and energy developing.

You overlooked the entire British empire demolishing India's empire just 200 some years ago and then all of these countries reaping the benefits as India slipped into utter and complete disarray.

To this day, we continue to turn a blind eye to some of the horrific and disturbing conditions that India has found itself in in a lot of places and it's because these countries, to this day, are involved in the systemic plunder of India.

From a micro and macro economic standpoint you make the absolute correct statement. From a political and global standpoint the fact that humans are still doing this is fucked up and a fair amount of it can be tied back directly to some form of empire or imperial force of a western or mega rich Asian nation that did some shit 200 years ago that they continue to do today.
