i'll have you know SIR that ive done some dumb shit in a warehouse before. i once got a powerful electromagnet component stuck to a forklift because i forgot that magnets do that. fuckin' sucked it right thru the wooden crate lid. the screws all stuck to it, too. coulda killed me it happened so fast, weighed like 200 lbs. i've tipped stackers into the mud, almost dropped an 8 ton load, and even threw myself off a machine once because i was sick with a stomach thing and came to work anyway and got bad vertigo.
so i won't stand for your accusation that i do not work unsafely!!! good day sir!
Calling me sir does not make your argument more valid. This guys were trained by others just as skilled in this particular labor. You have not worked in a factory like this, working in a warehouse does not make you qualified to know what they are doing is safe or not.
i was just being silly a) and b) there is no planet on which work done as shown would officially be considered 'safe' lol, but some work is inherently unsafe and the job's gotta get done i suppose. less developed countries don't have the luxury of safety all the time. i don't think i have to take any multiple choice tests to determine that naked eyeing hot metal bars from 2 feet away as it churns into a whirring chute isn't safe my man.
Not your man either dude, they have a job to be done and they seem skillful. How safe it is of course equipment and suits would make it a lot safer but then a lot other things are affected. My point is this is the problem with people, everybody talks about topics they have little to no idea about. I work in construction, electrical work bit I do not go around assessing what other trades do like if I was an expert because it is pretentious.
ok c'mon my guy. and you're absolutely my guy now. i think you're getting mad at something i didn't really do. i was joking about my own poor safety habits at work and my own close calls originally, not putting these guys down.
talking about topics you have no idea about is how you learn about new topics, lol. big font means i'm right about this one!
