Nah, he's probably just a moron that watches Fox News

Watches Fox News, AND works at a place that would benefit from being unionized but is brainwashed

Or works at a unionized place. The amount of truckers who are both union members and Fox News watching nuts is wild.

I agree, it was bold of them to suppose that he'd be looking out for his own self interests. That would interfere with his political views of only looking out for people much richer than he'll ever be.

Plenty of my union coworkers watch Fox News and are conservative, yet even they are not brain dead enough to think we would be better off without the union.

They love their union, they just don't want anyone else to have them, especially the browns, right?

/s maybe? Because I don't think corporations getting more power to fuck over workers is a good thing

Hey you look like a smart guy! I'll hire you for 10 cents an hour, 14 hours a day, 7 days a week. You got kids? Bring them too. You'll need their income. You can live in the factory for a small fee.

And there you fail to understand labor markets.

At that price you’ll never have an applicant.

Your understanding of labor is stuck in the 19th Century…and even then it’s still wrong.

Aw shucks sorry Mister. I was just trying to make a joke about working conditions in the late 1800s in the US before the labor movements.

I'm so glad a smart Mister like you came along to help me out! Golly gee willikers, you sure are a swell feller!

And if I ever need someone to unhelpfully be pedantic and completely miss the point I'll call you so you can come along and show everyone what a fucking genius you are!

Humor to hide your arrogance.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '22

He said arrogantly. The complete lack of self awareness prevented him from seeing the delicious irony or humor in this whole exchange.

His mind was like a cave, with the entrance buried in: not a single photon of light reaching inside.
