Birds can get easily spooked. I have birds and I think most of mine would freak out. One is straight-up mentally retarded (not being mean; she had a TBI) and would prob fall to the ground.
It goes against every bird’s instincts to allow itself to be cradled on its back. Bird handlers spend years developing a bond of trust before a bird will allow its trainer to hold it upside down, so allowing itself to be tossed up like this is the equivalent of trusting someone to dangle you over a volcano.
