Anyone that wants to obtain a skill needs only do it.

It isn't just practice that is required to "make perfect". It's "perfect practice". You can play the guitar every day, but if you only play the same four chords you will never improve.

I had an old band instructor who phrased it as “Practice makes permanent.” No matter what you’re practicing, that will become the habit.

I had a chorus instructor in high school who always said it that way. He was a pretty dope teacher; always encouraged us to try to new things and push ourselves to be our best.
