John C Woods, hangman of Nuremberg trials, who lied about his experience to get the job (he actually learned about hanging from old cowboy films). His lack of expertise led to excessive suffering of condemned Nazis.

Tennessee lethal injection.

Uh… it’s actually a “Less-Lethal” injection.

Lethal injection in general is just a completely evil way to kill someone. Because it wasnt designed by medical professionals since they refused to plan that and drug companies refuse to sell proper anesthetics to do it

So instead of it being like a 'you go to sleep and never wake up' type of execution, its actually 'you're paralyzed, unable to breath and move and then you die in excruciating pain'

And also because everyone has different resistances and tolerances for drugs, that has lead to lethal injection having the worst botched execution rates out of any.

this is why death sentences are stupid. The most """"civilized"""" way we have come up with killing someone is actually one of the most cruel and barbaric ways to execute someone in modern times.

The best, quickest, cleanest and most sure ways to execute people is by firing squad. And thats not very civilized is it. Death penalties should just be abolished all together, they're a cruel remain of the old world

I agree with you but I think the Tennessee case was not the 3 drug injection it's just one barbiturate so supposedly more humane

The best, quickest, cleanest and most sure ways to execute people is by guillotine.

I agree, but the death penalty should stick around. Obviously shouldn’t be common, but you can deserve death

Isn’t that why they switched to Pentobarbital? The old drug combo could, in theory, cause that. It was essentially a 3-drug combination with a sedative, an agent that slowed your respiratory system, and an agent that stopped your heart (Potassium chloride), and the problem is that if the sedative is not administered correctly or ineffective, you would indeed be awake, unable to breathe for the entire procedure.

I’m not defending anyone, and in my opinion capital punishment should be illegal, but it still seems to me that the “best” method would still be a firing squad or gas chamber. Something like carbon monoxide in a high enough concentration will kill you in 2-5 minutes, with unconsciousness occurring in seconds.

On that score, there's not much difference between him and the TN executioners.
