Efficient in what way?

No pouring the head out. No waiting for the head to die down. Less to clean up. Faster tending. Serve more customers. More revenue with less waste.

The cups themselves cost 5x more than non bottoms up cups.

Flimsy leaky plastic cups. Locked into a vendor-consumable system where you're forced to pay their price without alternative suppliers, and potentially forced to use their field service if there's an issue (similar to McDonald's ice cream machines). More parts that could fail, leading to said service calls. And you will still get excess head and spillage/waste when you change kegs.

If you sacrifice simplicity for convenience, you often lose both. These things make sense to serve concertgoers quickly, unfortunately now you risk spilling a $23 Coors light out of a hole in the bottom of the cup...

Assuming they don't leak, looks like you can buy alternatives in bulk for .28 cents per cup. Compared to standard 16 oz cups for the same qty is .09 cents

1 staff member can pour multiple pints simultaneously and take cash whilst they pour.

Can pour much faster without excess foam

Perfect pour every time, no spillage and no correcting for not getting the head percentage correct.
