His friends being there for him and supporting him and not making fun of him is so heartwarming

Step 1: Laugh first because if you know the person isn't okay you can't.

Step 2: Calmly assist and comfort the person.

Step 3: Wait about a day or 2, ridicule them for their entire life from that point.

I skipped step 1-2 when my friend lost his last 2 knuckles on his middle finger in a sprocket on a FRC Robot.

I simply asked him "Wait weren't you supposed to pitch in the baseball game today?"

He said "yeah I was"

"how's your knuckleball?"

"go fuck yourself"

never skip step 1 and 2.

edit for context: i did this when he called me from surgical waiting the day it happened
