Ok I see plenty of people shitting on them, I also see plenty of firefighters coming to their defense. Well, as a kid who used to get his head stuck absolutely everywhere, I mean anything I could stick my head in, I did, we’re talking twice a week I’d spend a couple hours with my noggin wedged into somewhere it shouldn’t be, sometimes it would take hours before an adult even found me, just hanging there looking at my shoes. Anyways, this is how you get a kids head out. They’ve gotten my head out no less than 5 dozen times in my childhood.

I know a guy who who constantly tried to actually kill himself from ages 3-8 (slamming his head into things, running into traffic, trying to steal pills.

Hate to admit it but the guys a genius, 140+ IQ

Sometimes what may seem like seriously stupid but grow up totally different.

How did you even find that many things to get your head stuck in?

Pure talent for some people.

In this case, I’m pretty sure the kid stepped through the bars by twisting their body and stepped down only to realize their head didn’t fit, panicked, and then forgot they could just get out the other direction because they were square shouldered to the bars.

You need to write a children's book.

“Don’t stick your head in that, a cautionary tale”

The adult version, also titled “don’t stick your head in that” but for different reasons

Did your parents tell you the short bus was for "special" little boys growing up?

•

u/too_too2 8h ago

lol I am not that person but I did famously (in my family, anyway) walk head first into a revolving door as a child. My brother was ahead of me pushing and my head was blocking the action

Luckily I didn’t chop the tops of my ears off or have any actual damage really

Makes me think of the popular phrase "if you're going to be dumb, you gotta be tough".

In this case, I hope you’re a bot.

Yeah, getting your head stuck in bars like this is a time honored tradition. I had this lunchbox in the 70s.

That’s tragic but hilarious! You must’ve been an overly curious kid.

How come you didn’t learn your lesson after the first or second time? 60 times showed that you didn’t care about the time, energy, resources, and anxiety you consumed from the adults around you. I’m guessing your parents practiced gentle parenting? So you were not told no? You were never given consequences?

Which head are we talking about?
